Just as i suspected...Carolina is here cuz of a terrible division & ridiculously easy path. Easiest ive seen in 30 yrs of watching the NHL. To be fair it's not Carolinas fault-its the ridiculous & unfair NHL playoff format. Im Colorado fan & i believe all 6 eliminated West teams + TB,& Toronto would be in ECFs if they got to play Carolinas joke of a path.NJ is mediocre WHEN HEALTHY-which they weren't close to & I suspected all season long Washington was largely fraudulent.

While the Central,& Atlantic just kill each other-a team who wouldn't make it out of 1st round anywhere else-is beneficiary of JV side of the bracket. No coincidence Carolina got swept in 2023,& 19 ECFs.(& 2009) 13 straight losses in conf finals. Thats ALMOST worse than our 8 straight losses in game 7s. You can tell TNT is hoping for the best but knows it'll be a short series cuz defending champs are up against like 9th or 10th best team in NHL.Possibly even a little lower actually.

Dominate? 1 shot on goal in 15 minutes isn't dominating. They capitalized on stupid mistakes the Canes made for sure, but I doubt they'll get those same opportunities in game 2.

Carolina here…. Absolutely no excuse for how much we went for hits instead of puck possession and hard shots on net.
The Panthers are using all 5 guys on the ice on every line. Every line. Most of the time, there’s only 3 out of the 5 who are functional on a team and the other 2 become your back ups or trailers. The panthers are rolling 5 deep and aggressively. It’s like a freight train coming at you when you have the puck and they don’t. They close in that space real quick, take it away from you and are already on a 3 on 2 within seconds going the opposite direction.

5-2 TORONTO DOESN'T HAVE TO FEEL SO BAD . TORONTO HAD FLORIDA TILL OT IN GAME 3 AND IN SPITE OF 2 6-1 HOME GAMES THEY DID FIGHT BACK TO FORCE A 7
