You may be right that the Altay uses a Rheinmetall licensed 120 mm gun, but the Korean K2 tank uses the CN08 120 mm gun, which is an independent Korean design.

The CN08 gun has a shorter, thinner barrel which gives it a lower profile and better maneuverability with a slight decrease in accuracy at long ranges.

IMAGINE that ,Turkiye lost WW1 because they allied with Germany, and look at Germany , they refuse to sell Turks the MTU engine and Renk Transmission, some friends, but no Matter what Turks will make the transmission sooner or later, I have no idea why West is so afraid of Turks?

It's a K2 from south Korea. German Engine and gearbox from Renk, Rheinmetall L55 120mm Cannon. The only turkish thing about this tank is it's assembly line.
