उत्तर कोरिया के नेता किम जोंग उन ने हाल ही में देश में आई भारी बाढ़ और भूस्खलनों को रोकने में विफल रहने के आरोप में 20 से 30 अधिकारियों को फांसी की सजा सुनाई. इस बाढ़ में करीब 4,000 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी और करीब 15,000 से ज्यादा लोगों को पलायन करना पड़ा था... दक्षिण कोरियाई मीडिया के अनुसार, किम ने अधिकारियों को भ्रष्टाचार और ठीक से काम ना करने के आरोपों के तहत मृत्युदंड देने का फैसला सुनाया...बाढ़ प्रभावित क्षेत्र में 20 से 30 अधिकारियों को एक साथ फांसी पर चढ़ाया गया. जिन अधिकारियों की फांसी की गई है, उनके नाम का खुलासा नहीं किया गया है. मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार, बाढ़ के बाद अधिकारियों को डर सता रहा था कि कब उनका नंबर आ जाएगा. पिछले महीने किम ने बाढ़ प्रभावित क्षेत्रों का निरीक्षण किया था.
