I don't think Brad Gilbert is the best coach for Coco Gauff. He's great at analyzing matches and talking about tennis, but coaching-wise, I'm not so sure he's the right fit for her. I think someone like Patrick Mouratoglou would be a better choice. He's got a lot more experience coaching top players and could probably help Coco reach her full potential.

Coco had a bad day, but I get tired of listening to Davenport and Evert always
building up the player that beats Coco. why aren't they talking about. How Navarro got beat down by Paolini, why don't they talk that. Tennis needs better and young commentary these people only praise, folks like Iag Sabalinka Rybakina Navarro etc

Brad Gilbert is the worst coach. Coco forehand needs to improve and she needs to stop going big on the serve and hit her spots like she used to just because you can serve big doesn’t mean you have a great serve

Honestly not sure Brad is not quite the coach for coco. Brad is highly philosophical tennis wise, we need a technical coach for coco moving forward. US open was amazing yes… but after this year I think it’s time to reconsider.

Coco needs to CHANGE what she eats.
That is where mental continuity is born and flourish.

Making 70% and winning 60% of those is .7*.6 = .42, i.e., 42%.
Making 50% and winning 80% of those is .5*.8 = .4, i.e., 40%.
So, Andy Murray is wrong, and it would better to make 70% first serve and win 60% of those. Not to mention that scenario one is also much more realistic and practical.

I think Coco's mental and emotional component is not quite in there..As a coach you must be attuned to player needs and prepared to make adjustments at any time..If after a match, the player breakdown happened mentally and not physically or technically, you may have to adjust your balance to reflect a concentration on the mental/emotional component..
Finding the right balance of the perfomace components for your player is how you demonstrate your expertise..Brad Gilbert is an experienced and fine coach .. His record speak for itself..He will organize a comprehensive performance components allows to maximize Coco's development..So, rest assured that Coco will be fine..She is going through transitional adjustments periodization..

people who watch her matches are used to it because she has been playing in the top ten for several years, but they cannot realize that she is only 20 years old and everything is ahead of her, so I think it is not fair to her to think that she should play higher level tennis..not many girls has gram slam at age 20

Coco needs to think for herself. How many forehand errors? 20 or more. She must not be too bright if she could not figure out what to do. Shes been playing like this forever.

Coco is not focused on tennis too busy getting rich with sponsorships that is not going to help her in the end those sponsorships will stop if she continues to lose early in tournaments Brad is not the one who can help her

Emma Navarro was the worthy winner so why all the hype about what went wrong with Coco Gauff’s game……….simples, she was beaten by a better player.

Not so easy when the usta doesn’t fix the draw. Coco still needs work. Weak sauce mentally. Coaching shouldn’t be allowed. Navarro is the real top USA player. More proven over time with zero favoritism. Stop trying to promote chasing the Williams sisters. And promote the best players please. Asians quit in their teens bc of lack of usta support. Usta is the most racist organization around.

Renee Stubbs was so rude to Brad Gilbert about Coco losing the match. She has a big mouth and think she knows it all about Tennis. She forgets she was a doubles player, not a singles. She even had the nerve to criticize the way Djokovic played. How arrogant is she? They should fire her because she’s like this a lot and I don’t like listening to her.

This is not TENNIS coach, he is a CHATTER BOX. If you have never seen or know one, listen to this guy. This Gilbert guy could talk to a dead horse, and then find out that the horse is dead after he finishes his last sentence, and go on to another subject.

Coco has too many coaches in her box. They kicked the dad out of the box and now he sits on the
upper deck. Her mother always looks angry. There are family dynamics going on that are causing Coco to break down.

Gauff needs to get rid of Brad Gilbert.... He's a mess he's finished actually he's passing get rid of Gilbert...

Pere Riba obviously was a big help for CoCo. Brad Gilbert not so much. What it all boils down to, is does the coach you choose, really have your best interest. BG, not so much it seems.

She is less mature at 20, than she was at 15.

Navarro was the better player on the day and can develop into a better player overall. She has better technique and court savvy
