I show the videos to my goddaughter, teaching the answers to these questions. The public schools funded by our tax dollars should have done it. You don't have to be qualified to be a teacher. You just need to be a union member. Yes, I oversimplified that.

Honest question. There's this thing called survivor bias, where you only see the subswt that makes it, in this case, into the final video.

The question is: were these all the people you interviewed? Half of them? One in ten?

Ok, you might not know who is the leader of Russia or North Korea or something like that because you do not care... but if you ask the square root of 4? Or you ask about a country in North America? And they do not even know what countries are, what states are and what cities are?

As a Brit of mature years I am stunned that these young people haven’t absorbed anything about the world around them, most of the questions asked didn’t call for “taught” answers, but just general knowledge gained from every day life around you. I still, at my old age, use the mantra, learn something new everyday and I try to, it may be something small and ordinary, but at least following that is keeping my ancient brain functioning.
