Whilst it would be good to have a footprint in the vestibule to keep the bottom of stuff dry, it is for a reason. Footprints that stick out past the inner can act as a raincatcher and sandwich water under the inner. Great review of both tents.

Thanks for the vid. Appreciate seeing the little details of these higher quality OG tents as opposed to the cheapies I have. Love that extra side bit on the Mont. It costs very little in weight to give that extra room. Love the fully opening vents too. Keen to see how the new, cheaper dynema-type material filters down through the sector - the cost has put me off until now but would be keen to try a trekking pole option.
