I didn't understand any of this, but damn it if I didn't try.
ОтветитьIn the US my fiber company provide the modem and router. I have full admin access to the router. The do provide two network programs. With one you can control access from specific devices. This is mostly for keeping kids from going to certain locations and setting time limits. The other a router anti virus type thing that actually works well. I left it on. The router can be remotely updated.
I could bypass it and go from the modem to another router directly but i like the wifi 6e and it works fine.
I remember having a hard drive with the IDE configuration. Since it wasn't compatible with anything I had, I took it apart. Kinda regret it now knowing there are converters and ide readers now
ОтветитьIt does lool like a peice of the jetsons car😂
ОтветитьJust clone your mac and be done with it :)
ОтветитьAwesome share!
ОтветитьSho! Great going!.... I thought I was the only one dissatisfied stuck withy ISPs router and not having access (mostly).... Was considering capturing the authorisation process 2..... Never tried anything BUT NOW!!!!......
ОтветитьOh... well spectrum allows you to use your own hardware...
ОтветитьLove your accent tho
ОтветитьCan't people make a video anymore without all this chop= chop hand motion during the description.??
ОтветитьWhen you said you hacked your ISP’s router, I thought you meant an ACTUAL router, not a home router. I am disappointed.
ОтветитьThe router my ISP forces me to use can't even give wifi over 15mb, i tried to get a solution and all i got was "buy a cable" which doesn't fix wifi speed for anything that isn't my PC
ОтветитьAnd now the police url on the police wanted list rite😅 bye 👋
ОтветитьBro told us that security is the upmost priority 🐸
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьIt is a class A felony to hack a internet providers router. Do you really publicly inform the whole world of this?
Ответитьnext up find a way to hack them into giving decent speeds, I'm stuck with 50 megabit and my gran just lost out on 500 megabit because the provider couldn't be bothered connecting her on the day they said they would so she skedaddled
ОтветитьI had that router when I was stationed in Germany. Most US soldiers understood we must have VPN because the German government was always watching. I used my own router behind the ISP routers.
ОтветитьThankfully my isp just lets you put their docsis router. That + an openwrt router and a nice AP, and theres not much i can complain about. The isp provided one is a craptacular sagemcom w/ a broadcom soc, so basically useless. At least it doesnt look hideous though
ОтветитьOff top of my head … black cat lead connected to jtag terminals and clone everything then flashing to your custom fancy router. I would see about upgrading the system if that allows you to run n work with it.
What I just said is illegal to do.
New routers from ISPs are so locked down you need to use an app on your phone to access any settings.
ОтветитьFritzbox... Worse device you can have !
Ответитьhm. i can tell you (that router you got is old) but fritzbox can do WAY more. i can even do more than unify routers. atleast the german devices
Ответитьamazing history , Could you help my with my problem ?
ОтветитьIf you like 1960s retro future kitsch, then you might like the design I suppose.
ОтветитьSlovenia has fiber optic and in the US we have creation science.
ОтветитьYou're lucky you had the spare money to buy a whole bunch of different models. Not everyone gets to do that!
ОтветитьFritzboxes are actually great hardware
and they're often hacked to run non official software
I'm glad that my ISP just gave me PPPoE credentials and told me that I can connect anything as long as I don't come whining to them with my technical issues later 😆
ОтветитьHonestly though, AMV does make some very good routers.
I have a FritzBox 7-something, runs 1gbps on 4 LAN cables simultaneously, and it has this really nice feature for a kind of built in Home NAS. you just need to plug in an external Drive, and configure it for SMB access, and you have a working NAS accessible to all windows devices on your network.
mine has an anti-tip over feature so if it gets moved ever so slightly it shuts off and you have to restart it
ОтветитьExcellent video. Excellent investigation and success! Thank you for sharing!
Ответитьput your own router right after it, solved...
ОтветитьReverse engineering at its best
ОтветитьI havent come across a ISP that doesnt support device reuse in Australia. Using theirs is a choice. sometimes free and some with a min period. Butbusually a average router but defaulted to rubbish settings. I change the admin.password.. I no longer use their wifi and disable wifi but run theirs by lan by a cat 6 (not the crap 100mbps cable they give) and connect to a deco.mesh system. . I went from 80mbps on a 100 plan to 340mbps. And several bands and higher spec wifi security. And zero drop outs and it has awesome management and even malicious scanning etc. It means i also dont rely on their security.
Every router i have received or come across has the admin password stuck to it. Crazy. And a reset button. But using the ip address you can remanage the admin settings. And reset so tge printed one wont work anyway even if reset
wouldnt be way less of a hassle to set ISP router into bridge mode and plug your own router behind it?
ОтветитьThank god my isp lets me use whatever i want
ОтветитьAFP module???? It would have been good if you would have explained what is this. And why you are so focused on it
ОтветитьDid you do research of SFP from your provider? It has UART and could be started even without any router! Just connect uart pins (TX-RX), 3.3 v and gnd. After that you can interrupt uboot process and set serial, PLOAM and other params from uboot.
Moreover, you can dump original firmware and do your own research. For example, Huawei sfp module runs modified version of OpenWRT.
What about them pushing an update to the modem or try to do something from thier side and they see they can't, i miss that part?
ОтветитьWhat a fool.
I did work for an ISP as field technician.
No one will spy on you or anything, it's just needed for do the troubkeshooting when you have connection problems.
Omg that looks horrible device. Lol😂
ОтветитьFritzbox == German VTech
ОтветитьFRITZBOX! = German VTech
Change my mind
I don't know about the thumbnail... 🤔 The crossed arms? Yes. The red eyes? Yes. Watch? Yes. Glasses? Yes... but then that shirt? And the gray vest??
Nahhh... You look like Balki from Perfect Strangers.
I didn't understand anything but thats pretty cool
