Just Loved this session.. ma'am..
ОтветитьIt's just wonderful!
ОтветитьIn the west, do you use personal IMs like Messenger as a work communication tool?
Ответитьif you say " I am not sure- I can find out" it still means you don't know. even in that moment.
People weaponize language.
Be prepared for that. yeah I may to some people sound negative but please consider that a large part of why the work place is deemed toxic is based in communication.
Even contractual obligations tend to be all or penalty driven.
Why can't dude go find.out for himself...?????
ОтветитьOnly Fans brought me here ❤
ОтветитьHere's a great advice for when speaking English: GET TO THE POINT, instead of going on, and like this video...
Ответить"Professional"? More like slaves speaks to their masters. So glad I dont live in corporate america and I can express myself freely depends on the situation.
ОтветитьSorry, but I do not agree. I prefer telling the truth. There is nothing wrong with saying “I don't know”, following up with a “but let me try and find out”. Always be transparent, honest, open, and helpful. And do not hesitate to say no!
ОтветитьForget me
ОтветитьYou r looking very beautiful..
ОтветитьInstead of I don’t know ( talking to a colleague that never looks into the available documentation but just expect to be served ): I will have to look into the documentation to be sure I am giving you the right answer, what is said in it ?
ОтветитьWhat do you say to a colleague who persistently prefers to ask you for solutions to his tasks instead of making a little struggle and solving it himself? Sometimes, you are trying to find a solution, and he does something else, like playing with his phone or calling someone. What would you tell him next time instead of, I don't know?
ОтветитьI involve them by saying let's look and see.
ОтветитьSituation 4: thanks for waiting
ОтветитьI am using this video in my classroom, teaching young adults with disAbilities those soft skills! Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you so much, this lesson has been for me very helpful. You have a new follower :)
ОтветитьThis whole video is a bunch of BS. For example I would strongly advice against doing commitments when you're not sure about them. At least if you care about your credibiluty.
ОтветитьI feel bad to make u wait but I will be there in a moment.
Ответитьyou could have put your advert at the end of the video that was so tacky...you interrupt the video to sell!? it would be more professional to hint in the beginning that info will be at the end or do the advert in the beginning 🤕
ОтветитьThe answers depend on the culture of the country. In a globalized world, ironically, one solution doesn’t always fit everywhere.
I work in Germany in an international company. It’s very normal for one to say they don’t know to colleagues and customers. Because here they have so much confidence in their planning and quality output that any request outside of that parameter will most likely invite a ‘no’ as an answer.
I'm American and need to improve my English skills
ОтветитьI disagree with some of these. I am in Accounting and as accountants we are very conservative in what we say. If someone ask if they need something by a certain time, I say I should have it done by then. Saying you will have it done by 2 and reality strikes and you dont…then you lied and lose credibility from your boss or colleagues
Ответитьvideo importee dans ma tete trilingue.
ОтветитьGee, disregarding honesty. SAD ADVICE.
Ответитьwhat she said can surely be more beneficial carriers you need the basic need you and the humans around you
ОтветитьThank you for this great video. I am especially glad to know that it's unprofessional to say: "I don't know" and "I'll try" :-)
ОтветитьThanks Emma you the best english teacher that i always watching you every
Ответитьwow i enjoy this English practice. Thank you so much
ОтветитьThis teaching is really useful
Ответитьwhen someone asks you a question and you don't know but may be can find out :
"I am not sure, but I can find out for you"
"Let me come back to you on that"
"I;ll find out for you"
Someone asks you to do something on time - give a clear-cut answer
"I can get it done by.. time."
"Sure! I can have it done by"
in case you are not able to manage it write down the following:
"I don't think I can manage it by.. but I can definitely have it done by ..."
"I don't think I can manage it by Tuesday, but I can have it done by Friday."
someone is angry or disappointed about something:
I understand, let see what we can do "
"I understand you came all this way and it's not ready. Let's see what we can do"
Keeping someone waiting:
"Sorry to keep you waiting, I'll be right there"
"I will be with you in a moment"
Somebody asks a question, but you neither hear nor understand:
"I am sorry, I missed that. Could you say it again, please?"
Sorry, would you mind just repeating that?"
Thank you Emma these tips are very useful.
ОтветитьHmmm....Saying "super common" is appalling English. Stop using it!
ОтветитьDoes this lady live in the real world? Half of these supervisors n managers are incompetent. I match the energy I get from them. If they act clueless let’s ALL act clueless together. If not they’ll take advantage anytime they can. NOT happening.
Just because I speak Spanish I am not the companies interpreter. Get google translate.😂
Thank you, Emma! Very helpful!
ОтветитьIm sorry to keep you waiting. I will connect with you in just a minute.
ОтветитьIm sorry i missed that part due to internet issue. Could you please repeat it again for me. Thanks 😊
ОтветитьThank you for these useful tips and tricks for speaking to others. grateful to this video and your teaching skills.
ОтветитьHello everyone, I want to recap everything I have learned from this video. Feel free to correct my sentences or might I make a mistake. Thanks in advance .
Situation #1 when we do not know and we should say I am not sure Or I am not sure, I will find out for you Or I am not sure, I will come back to you on that. I am not sure; I will ask for you.
situation#2 when someone ash to do something it should answer clear like I can get it done by specific time. I can have it done by ..... . or I do not think I can manage it by ...., but I can definitely get it done by ....... .
Situation #3 when we keep some on to wait, we could say, sorry, i keep you waiting, I will be there with you just in a minute. I will be with you shortly.
situation #4 we do not understand about object, so we never say What. we should say, I am sorry, I missed that. Or I am sorry, I missed that. could you say it again please? or I am sorry, would you mind repeating that again?
Situation #5 when our boss or customer or coworker gets angry, we just say I understand. Or i am sorry, I understand. Or I am sorry, I understand that you come all the way and it is not ready yet, let's see what we can do about that. Or I understand where you come from, let 's see what we can do about this.
All this information I have learned from this video and i am looking forward to someone who is interested to work together and learn more English. thanks, Emma, for amazing video.
I love the expressions and your body language while streaming lessons. It keeps me engaged.
ОтветитьSituation "numero 4" 😂❤ love you
ОтветитьThat guy understood his assignment.. well done Emma.

ОтветитьI'm is not biznes nolij talme lacacar peilesh
ОтветитьYour pause after reading a sentence to repeat after you is amazing like your style to look at the sentence
ОтветитьI work in England and the natives in situation 4, do not even make eye contact with you. If they are kind enough, they may deign to let you know you have to wait with a finger...
ОтветитьI would LOVE for my office manager to say, I don't know... rather than guess at an answer.
