What about closed end funds! You can get all the yield you need right there
ОтветитьMy portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.
ОтветитьIm trying to build my stocks up and I'm reinvesting my dividends for now ......
ОтветитьApple needs to raise the divvy more than a penny a year though.... love em, but they can afford it lol.
ОтветитьSCHD is a solid choice for dividend investors, especially in uncertain markets. With its consistent dividend growth and solid track record, it feels like a reliable long-term hold. I’m focusing on ETFs like SCHD to balance growth with stability, especially as we navigate the impacts of rising interest rates.
ОтветитьMy $185k portfolio includes covered call ETFs and growth ETFs like SCHD, DVY, SVOL, FE, and JEQ. I would like to clean up my portfolio a bit, and change my investment strategy by placing a heavier emphasis on dividends. Am I on the right track?

ОтветитьAs an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top-level investors are able to become millionaires through investing. I have a significant amount of capital to start with, but I'm unsure about the strategies and direct I should take to help me generate substantial profits like some people are this season.
ОтветитьA lot of news have been going on about a rally after the election, urging investors to watch out for stocks that would be experiencing significant growth. Any idea which stocks to put on my watchlist?
ОтветитьLove my dividends
Ответить90% of the new traders/investors today only play options. They will realize in 20 years that they were morons lol
Ответить5% of my portfolio is in dividend stocks, and I already feel it is too much 😂
Ответить“Most people don’t need income”…….interesting 🥴
ОтветитьMaybe kinda relaxing compared to day trading options. 😜
ОтветитьAlways a winning strategy
ОтветитьInvestors should use their money continuously, in my opinion, especially In 2025, the market will start to diversify even further. Given recent stock success, it becomes sense to invest my $460k portfolio in conclusion that the stock market is the best intelligent investment accessible. Certainly, others agree.
ОтветитьDividend investing is the worst equity strategy proven scientifically for three reasons: 1) it picks stocks that are flat and mostly value stocks that underperform market average 2) it is the worst strategy per taxation reasons that you pay excessive tax upfront on gains 3) every dollar given as dividends takes a dollar from company market cap which is more tax efficient and growth efficient in the long run
ОтветитьOther than the psychological aspect, what would be the advantage of receiving dividends vs growing your investment and simply selling when needed???
Ответитьdefine winning.
ОтветитьYieldmax has a NAV erosion problem but the weekly dividend is good. Along with the price being low.
ОтветитьI'm favoured only God knows how much I praise Him, $230k every 4weeks! I now have a big mansion and can now afford anything and also support God’s work and the church.
Ответитьyear in and year out, STEADY dividends BUILDS your investment, I ALWAYS let it reinvest automatically.
ОтветитьThis was excellent. 😃 Thank you! 😊
ОтветитьThe thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $52k dividends received in 2024.
Ответитьyou need alot of money to life of dividends

ОтветитьDividend investing is my thing! I'm building wealth with a buy-and-hold strategy in my Roth account, featuring rockstars like Berkshire B stock, SCHD, and S&P 500 and total market ETFs. My taxable account is also getting in on the action, generating regular income through dividend-paying stocks. It's a winning combo that's helping me achieve my financial dreams!
ОтветитьPerfect example Jenny!!! The best investor is the one who behaves well.! ‼️‼️‼️
ОтветитьFor long-term growth, go with VOO. Not SPY
ОтветитьWould someone help me understand the strategy of dividend investing, specifically when people talk about "income generation?" I like dividend funds because I see them as a way to diversify and maybe be a little defensive compared to just putting everything in the s&p 500. But the total return of these dividend funds is typically less than the s&p 500.
ОтветитьI'm VERY bullish On Collecting Dividends That Continue To Compound Every Year. 🤑☝🏽
ОтветитьI’m currently in the process of building a passive income stream through dividends. I love the idea of essentially creating your own pension.
ОтветитьI’m new to investing, and l've lost over $80K trying out strategies I found in online tutorials.
ОтветитьI’m 57 still working and love dividends.
ОтветитьDividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important. Salute for the content!
ОтветитьDividend investing is my jam!
ОтветитьGreat points 🎉
ОтветитьDividends and Growth is the same. Company do shares buybacks to boost the shareprice or pay dividends and you drip and increase your total value.
With dividends you still have more options, buy more shares, buy other company or buy chocolate.
I lost over $300,000 investing in $GME and $BBBY last year, which was very depressing. Now, with low risk tolerance, I want to invest wisely this year. I’ve been researching index funds, ETFs, mutual funds, and growth stocks.I want a simple portfolio with about 3 holdings.
Ответить$332k just sitting in my emergency fund, and now I’m here like, ‘Time to make it rain!’ Seriously though, great step-by-step guide! I’ve been itching to dive into stocks but honestly, need a boost to make sure I'm not just throwing cash into the fire. Any tips to help me not mess this up right out the gate?
ОтветитьShe makes some great points.
ОтветитьI just switched up my Roth IRA to 50% SCHD, 25% SCHX, 25% SCHG, and my Roth 401k is 70% vanguard S&P 500 index, 20% vanguard growth index, and 10% vanguard international index. Seeking best possible ways to grow $350k into $1m+ before retirement, I'm 55.
ОтветитьBuy and hold investing is where the long term magic happens.
ОтветитьThe true investor will do better if he forgets about the stock market and pays attention to his dividend returns and to the operating results of his companies.
ОтветитьWhen it comes to the world of investing, most people don't know where to start. Fortunately, great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance.
