I just saw it. It was pretty interesting how the film unfolded. The gimmick wears thin 30 minutes in. I did enjoy the novelty of it.
Definitely a virtue signal with the black family depicted in the film to earn woke points as if the only characteristic they had was their race and nothing else. The pivotal scene with them was predictable and ultra woke.
The film had some beautiful moments and some Easter eggs if you pay attention. It was something different. I really like the feel and mood of each time period. How this cost $50 million is beyond me???

Someone could have told Zemekis that just because you keep the camera in place doesn't mean you have to tell a boring family drama. If your story isn't interesting using traditional techniques, why make it?

Tom Hanks was on Dan Carlin's history podcast, and said that his greatest influence in regard to history was Howard Zinn's "A People's History," which is a hate America book written by a communist. I haven't paid attention to anything he's done since that time.

So Robert Zemeckis has added modern politics to the formula of the soulless, gimmicky, CGI stuffed movies he’s been making for the last 25 years. Great.

Way too many overhyped comments here for me to believe they're anything but mainly bot accounts to build false hype for movie tickets. Zemeckis is a favorite of mine but some of these comments acting like his track record is flawless & way too 'I'm all in! Let's goooo' same fake comments you see happening all over sky triple A game now. I'd believe moderate comments 'this look okay. I'll give it a shot'. In truth the de aging, ai whatever they used doesn't look right. We all grew up w Hanks and we all know how he spoke and moved his mouth, formed and articulated his words, his facial expressions were NOT the same ones he makes now as a 70plus year old man. I see old Hanks with de aging. I'm not a fan of the look of this as they don't look real.

I really enjoyed this movie and thought everything worked well. The CGI was my main issue and yeah they didn’t need some of the stuff you guys mentioned but it’s different than most of the content that has been put out lately and how it’s different is what makes it really good. Definitely recommend this movie. Go see it and form your own opinion

Watched Here I thought it was incredibly boring and hallow. Here tries to be dramatic but it's soulless and artificial. I had high hopes for this film, I didn't care for the CGI either the deer, plants, and humming bird, poor dialogue a lot of tell not show. I almost walked out of the theater because it was sooo boring and their lives suck! Living with Tom Hanks parents until their 50's how interesting!🤪🙄🤣

I’m intrigued by the concept. I have sat on the sofa in my house wondering what happened on this exact spot through the centuries. My small house was built in 1880 and according to the census a large family lived in it 100 years ago, without an inside bathroom! And that house was built on land near a Roman settlement which was on a road to London.

Shame about the lecturing though. Probably had to be included to secure funding.

I just can't watch Tom Hanks anymore. He has spent so much time promoting his extreme left-wing "Pedo-fornia" political nonsense that I just don't buy him as a working class everyman anymore. He's not that good of an actor. I don't care how many awards his co-workers give him.

I went to "Here" and forgot I was ever there. It was like watching a play with an actor you do not like and a story that does not resonate with you. I rolled my eyes at the asteroid strike. That's not what would have been seen at that very spot. It's things like that that disengaged me from the movie.
