The Intel core i9-14900kf is a powerful CPU . More power = more electricity consumption! combined with an RTX 3090 .. is an 850w PSU enough?

Always check the power of cpu and gpu at full load before building your gaming pc! and enjoy the process. You can usually easily google the hardware power consumption of each part.

As for how much power you need ? Most power supplies are the most efficient between 60%-75% usage, meaning that if my gaming pc can spike to 757Watts, then for that, I will need a 1300W Power supply . 1300*0.60= 780W usage so close to the 757w. with the 0.60 being 60% usage for optimal efficiency . Another rule to remember is the 80% rule . Try not to overpower your PSU and try to stay within 80% usage. So, for a 1300W psu, the most I should be pushing for this rule is max 1040W safely.
