I’ve hit a few shanks (off the hosel) in the past week 😫
I suspect I was standing too close to the ball, but don’t know for sure 🤷🏼♂️
That million dollar question:
What causes a SHANK?
Wow!! That is something for me to work on .
Can’t wait to try. Thanx
Wow, so much for one plane. J was too far away. Once i got closer with arms straight down it made my swing more vertical vs. Flat, and I am making much better contact especially with wedges.
ОтветитьStop waggeling ... no way Sir.
ОтветитьToo far away? Tell that to Moe Norman and Todd Graves.
Ответитьthx
ОтветитьWhen i set up close to the ball, i almost always have a heel biased strike and more hosel strikes. What do you think is causing this?
ОтветитьGrip it and rip it! Easy
ОтветитьThe routine you suggest to find the right distance from the ball is important.
But once you’re correctly set with your feet, the wrist waggle doesn’t change your radius and doesn’t affect your ball striking.
En clair copions scottie ☺️
ОтветитьIf you don't mind me asking what irons do you have in this video? TY
ОтветитьSo simple and logical. Thanks
Ответитьdon't put the driver down there is no benefit you already have consistence thanks coach 🤯🤗
ОтветитьNo more waggles 🎉
Ответитьthanks again for this video. would you tell me what kind of grip model you use ?
ОтветитьI took this lesson to the course the last two days and I've been striking the ball better and more consistently. My iron strikes are much more toward the target and compressed. Thank you.
Ответитьsimple golf, make it a simple video, waffling for 4 mins and I'm giving up.
ОтветитьRotation of the spine from hip to neck is the key. Most don't do this more, rather they sway the chain of bones of the spine. This swaying of the spine can not generate the compression desired, but the rotation of the shoulders centered around the spine absolutely can.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWow, thanks Pro! While searching for the reason for the repeated toe strike, I believe you found it for me! In your opinion would this also explain mostly pull hook from toe strike? Finding that balance in distance as you said looks like you almost lined up single plane style??
ОтветитьI can't wait to try this out. Thank you. I wish I could like the video more than once.
ОтветитьOther channels mention shaft bending?,
ОтветитьI have watched a lot of videos online from a variety off coaches and I have never seen this mentioned. I have to agree the setup is very important and you have hit the nail on the head. The slightest adjustments can change the swing and have a person hitting inconsistently. Excellent advice and I will certainly be focusing in on my set up position and developing a routine that gives me the best opportunity to hit the ball flush. Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks for the advice will try. Where are you based in would love to have lessons with you.
ОтветитьGonna have the rare disagree on waggle! I set up based on club similar to what you’ve described. Then I pick up the club and do the waggle to get into a supple wrist feel. Then 2 taps behind the ball then swing with no thoughts. I will agree on a setup and a pre shot routine. It’s important to do it with every shot. My waggle loosens my wrists, my double tap is the signal to my brain to shut off NO MORE THINKING lol.
ОтветитьExactly what I needed to hear and apply to my swing!! Thanks!!
ОтветитьAla jack N when your at address and your lead hand is in the club , if your have to adjust your trail hand closer ir farther away your ,reaching or stretching etc , he said your trail hand should fall right in place, I understand the concept and have noticed it affects the ahoulders and weight shift and balance etc .
The games changed alot but im not sure about setups etc , you can see some pros setup so strong compared to others and they make it work
There's a linked element to this which is how the arms connect to the body. My pro said if I maintained shaft lean from set-up to impact it would be impossible to hit behind the ball, but it's not if your arms disconnect and get closer or further away from body (in this case closer). That for me is one of the biggest killers of consistency.
ОтветитьGreat video and advice! I see a lot of guys reaching for the ball. Not too many stand too close, but you can pick 'em out easy cuz they always looked jammed up
