ОтветитьI've watched this video over and over and still get goosebumps . It Cant be said enough . . . I ♥ being CANADIAN!
ОтветитьWe here in BC are going through the Provincial election campaigns. All you hear is bitterness, bickering and division. I wish they could all remember these moments and unite us, not divide. Regardless of what people think of PM Harper, the man is a true Canadian. Nearly all of his tweets are about the glories of Canadian athletes. We have A LOT to be damn proud about! BRING THE CUP HOME!
ОтветитьI shed some manly tears too
Ответитьi loved watching the winter olympics in vancouver go canada
Ответитьone of the best videos of all time!
Ответитьwho is the one crying at 1:30
ОтветитьI get goosebumps everytime
ОтветитьMelissa Hollingsworth... all the world media showed up at a press conference that was prefaced by the promise "she'll probably cry"
ОтветитьStill makes me beam with Canadian pride.

ОтветитьI still tear up when I watch this video, and its now 2014 for the Sochi Olympic,
Bring it home boys! GO CANADA!!
So many emotions come back. Fantastic.
ОтветитьCanada keepin' that swagger going 4 years later in Sochi. I believe the winter Olympics in Vancouver propelled the Canadian team to greatness for years to come.
I hope some of the athletes have seen this video essay, what a way to get pumped.
even after 5 years it just gives you chills
Ответитьbest Olympics ever! I still tear up watching these 5 years later!
ОтветитьMerci au Québec pour les médailles 😘
ОтветитьShut up. I'm not crying. You're crying.
ОтветитьBest Olympics Ever.
ОтветитьI remember standing on my feet everytime a Canadian athlete was going for a medal that year. (Except when an American was going for it too) there was something different going on during those Olympics. I can't describe it, but honestly one of the most entertaining 2 sports weeks I have ever witnessed
ОтветитьGod even 8 years later I can't watch this video without bawling in joy. It perfectly crystalize those 2 weeks and how it made me feel to be Canadian.
Ответить9 years today! Time flies :'(
ОтветитьYall wanna do it agian
ОтветитьTen years ago today! What a ride!
Ответить10 years later and I still watch this video essay from time to time, if I need a pick me up. Chills...
ОтветитьCame back to watch this absolute banger of a video essay again, after watching Stephen's latest masterpiece about Sports returning after COVID..... this guy is an artist man.
ОтветитьAs an American I still look back at these olympic games with fondness. These olympics games were phenomenal and I loved watching Canada, their country, citizens, and athletes!
Ответить😀🇨🇦👍🇨🇦
ОтветитьMan I hate covid
ОтветитьI was in Downtown Vancouver every night during those games. It was the biggest party on earth!
ОтветитьI forgot this is the video that made me listen to Hey Rosetta for years. Amazing
Ответитьafter 11 years still get chills
ОтветитьDamn. Times were tough when this video was uploaded.
ОтветитьCan't believe it's been 12 years
ОтветитьW
ОтветитьTruly one of the last few times I ever felt good about being a Canadian.
ОтветитьWe need another Olympics in Canada soon! Vancouver again? Calgary? Toronto? Quebec City? Other?
ОтветитьTwo incredible, unforgettable weeks. It will be hard to ever duplicate them again. 🇨🇦👍
Ответитьjoannie rochette is the mvp of the 2010 winter olympics…in time of tragedy & 💔 of losing a mother she continue to be in the women’s figure skating
ОтветитьWhen it feels like everything is backwards not only in Canada but the whole world, I need to come back to this video and feel the love and hope we had back then. Was really a special time for our Country.
ОтветитьI really missed that Canadian pride and camaraderie during that two weeks. The country felt so united and happy. In the streets of Vancouver, everyone felt like a friend. People would randomly break out singing the national anthem. It was a special time; a very stark contrast to the broken Canada we have today
ОтветитьAs the Invictus Games 2025 is coming to Vancouver and Whistler, I still get 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Stuffs in my mind. I wish Vancouver also consider hosting the 2038 Winter Games in 14 Years Time if possible, the games did not return and would return 28 years later in history by the bidding. I still miss everything when I was four years old while I was living in Surrey at that time when the games came to my hometown. Now Vancouver and Whistler 14 years later, and then it would be 15 years later in 2025, would still never be the same like Vancouver and Whistler used to look like in 2010 during the Winter Games Month in February and March 2010 anymore. This spirit of the games lives on and I won’t forget that over millions of glowing hearts of Canadians were jumping for joy when Sidney Crosby got the Golden goal for all during the final hockey game just hours before the closing ceremony. The spirit will be back again as the I AM Games comes; let’s repeat on how it happened in Vancouver, 15 years later. Still miss the fond memories and I still love Vancouver. I’m 18 years old andI’m currently living there all of my life for five years. Thank You Olympic and Paralympic Games! 💙🩵💚
Ответить14 years later this video still gets me choked up. great essay and feels good to be Canadian
ОтветитьA once in a lifetime event for Canada. Rivaling that of a Canadian team winning the Stanley Cup, and Expo 67.
...or maybe, it was all of that combined.
We will never have this again. And we probably shouldn't.
Once in a lifetime, forever and always.
