Love the body cam addition to your videos. Great presentation
ОтветитьIt seems that DOGE is needed for this process!!
ОтветитьI get the sealing and all states are different in their requirements for abandonment like IN/OH but why the concrete seal ? Be hard pressed here to pump a well down or dry when we have 6'' screened wells giving 300gpm. They need properly sealed if abandoned nice job! Would they have let you bring in a concrete truck and grout it full, they did here a deep 6'' well course grout mix had to meet standards. Volumes seem off what size was the well an we'd had to use clean clay!
ОтветитьA waste of 500 acres!!
ОтветитьNo these Solar farms are a waist of land
ОтветитьGreat vid. Thanks
ОтветитьExcellent to watch how you decommission well.
ОтветитьGreat job guys as always in joy your videos very professional 👍
ОтветитьBig industry and government love paper work. My brothers town had a major explosion from abandoned oil well from many yrs ago Hyrogen Sulfide gas
ОтветитьGreat video, agree that it seems a waste of time and resources to plug a good well but you have to remember that it not only protects the aquifer from surface contamination but it protects the surface from excess possible contamination. I grew up in the Syracuse NY area, the local lake was contaminated from salt water wells from the 1800’s that were undocumented and not capped. Onondaga lake never froze due to saltwater contamination for most of my life. The cost of hunting down and plugging old wells and in the area has been crazy. The water is now clean enough for freshwater fish to survive and I starting to show signs of becoming healthy. I remember as a kid wondering why the lake in the city was bright aqua marine blue, unlike the lake near my home that was just dark all the time.
ОтветитьYou have the advantage of having a lot of what you do on video so if there is ever a question of what you did or didn’t do on any job, you have at least some evidence to back you up. Another good one. 🥸👍👀👋✅
ОтветитьRuin 500 more acres with these eyesores
ОтветитьI’ve done commercial work all over the United States, and between the red tape OSHA we have to double everything labor real name of your double it and then maybe double it again it’s horrible but it’s all red tape you’re absolutely right
ОтветитьIs it possible to get in contact with you for a quick question
ОтветитьAnytime the government is involved it turns into a shitshow!
ОтветитьWhat's up with the orange vests?
ОтветитьWhat a waste of 500 acres
ОтветитьWhy put chlorine in the well???
ОтветитьHi just a note about the chlorine if its not mixed stirred with water in a bucket and mostly dissolved the graduals go straight to the bottom and sit and decay, then all you smell is chloramines dead and dying chlorine. when you smell a large amount of chlorine its dead as a rule. Also chorine is expensive so you will save money by mixing and use less also pool shock if you read the labels is the same as you buy in the tub its a gimmick and just costs more. I enjoy your you tube channel and G'day from Western Australia.
ОтветитьSolar farm will need water to wash the panels, but seeing they are subsidised, they will just drill another one.
ОтветитьI'm related to the hensley's you know Raymond Hensley
ОтветитьWhat a waste of good farmland.
Solar farms are so counterproductive.
20 year lifespans and no one wants to touch recycling them.
Aren't you supposed to hide a body at the bottom first?
ОтветитьSperm pen! Nice😂
ОтветитьThanks for the lesson . Yep, the red tape and all will take ridiculous time and effort to deal with ...
ОтветитьOn my farm I am required to put gravel or formation from another new well to the water level. The last 50 feet with cement pumped from the bottom. Most wells here are 400 tot 800" deep with 16" casing. Then a 8" thick concrete 4'x4' cap on the top end of the casing. Our local water district employs 40 people with good paying jobs to inspect and take pictures.
ОтветитьI have that same tool bag. Been carrying it for 5 years or so. One of the good HF products.
Ответитьpoor well never deserved to be killed by eco hippies
ОтветитьI saw Bentonite is used for seismic shot holes too. I spent a decade doing seismic surveying. I was the guy who place the flags that meant drill and blast here. In muskeg type terrain, you were guaranteed multiple flowing holes. This is northern Canada I am talking about. And the authorities made us plug every one of them, and it gets recorded for future reference in their database. The inspector and Bentonite made think of it. That was 30 years ago for me now. We got sued many times in rural areas for disturbing a well flow. We had to be at least 590 feet away with a charge, Not once was the lawsuit legitimate, and my reputation for that made me a desirable surveyor for companies wanting it done right. Mostly it is people with bad wells who think they can pull a fast one a get a free new well.
ОтветитьWhat would be the purpose of doing this?
ОтветитьHello, I have a curiosity question. Why dump a bunch of chlorine in a well that is about to be emptied in a field and capped off? There must be a reason, I just can come up with what it would be. I was thinking more of a trash pump to remove the water, not a nice well pump. Help me understand the reason. Thank you for the video, I was interesting. I don't completely understand why it needed concrete cap except maybe to minimize the potential settling of the dirt below for safety.
ОтветитьWhy do put bit night in the will ?
ОтветитьI am curious as a water/wastewater operator, why chlorinate before you pump to a field? Depending on your Environmental laws and the ppm of the water that would be considered a spill =|
ОтветитьThe real story is the scam of a 500 acre solar farm. Thankfully many communities are enacting bans to both solar and wind farms
ОтветитьDo what they say and take the pay......Simple...
ОтветитьWhen you coil up cables either electrical or pulling, Coil it in a figure { 8 } that prevents twists in it. Sad to see a solar farm being put in. Depending upon your latitude you may get full/mostly full power from it?? Up here you get a LOT Less.
ОтветитьWell putting an oil well to bed is a lot easier. Or at least that which I was on. He was very good to work for /with.
ОтветитьWhat a horrible use of 500 acres. And environmental nightmare.
ОтветитьOver in North Carolina. My well is 800ft, 25ft static level and 300GPM
ОтветитьLast thing that land needs is a solar farm.
ОтветитьHow much for the little bit you did??? I smell a rip-off
ОтветитьIt’s a shame that a solar farm is going in. They change the albedo of the area and can also affect the local weather.
ОтветитьSolar and wind energy are the biggest joke ever perpetrated on the American people other than the fraud election in 2020!!!!!! A flip'n joke!
ОтветитьGovernment stupidty but it gave someone a job!
ОтветитьGood video of filling an abandoned well
ОтветитьCrazy! That should have been filled with riprap or rock and dirt on top. Simple, short and sweet, low time and effort, done. Stupid how governmental red tape of municipal policies makes such a waste of time and effort not to mention cost!
ОтветитьSo I heard board well bored well or something other please explain that differed brother. Also. I hope y’all got some stock in electrical tape You use a whole ton of it
ОтветитьI love how some genuses have decided to take all this farm land for solar fields. My question to them is where are we supposed to get our food from when we have enough solar fields to supply the energy with the amount of energy efficiency lost. Estimates to the amount of acres needed is 800'000'000 acres just to power the USA for one year after that for the first year you need 2.5% more and each year afterwards you will need a additional .5% more acrage. Where are you going to get the food from.
ОтветитьWhat exactly is that plug material.?
