Those frames are bit gaudy 80s gold. Tone that gold down easily using some Rub and Buff. I love the brown pitcher. Add a few grocery plastic bags to the bottom and you will raise up those lovely tulips.

A fun video, Lauren. So many nice finds. My favorite item was one you left behind—I would have snagged that large brown stoneware bowl on the new cart. It is vintage, worth around $50 on average, and would have been a nice compliment to your brown pitcher you found later. The design around the top is called picket fence. You could display it with lemons stacked in it, or other fruit, or vegetables on a counter. 🌸

While you were talking about where to put the big oval frame I was thinking it would look really nice right behind your spot instead of the big, rectangular art piece that's there currently. I don't know why but maybe it would contrast the corners of the bench and the table :)

Lauren you need to visit Dewitt, Lansing and Holt thrift shops! Specifically goodwills in all areas and volunteers of america in lansing and holt! They are so big, have great finds, and have many options for name brand clothing! I have found Judy Blues, vintage jeans and home decor, amazing frames and artwork, Madewell, LuLu Lemon, and free people etc!

I wish at my local goodwill the workers would tell me they think some things I buy are priced too high and change it for me 😂 you’re not weird I totally agree on buying things that are already well loved and not mass produced perfect, I think that’s why I like thrifting so much! Same with clothes, I don’t like to buy and then wear new things haha I don’t like “ruining” them, but thrifting things already worn I don’t feel as bad, maybe I’m the only one 😅 love the pleated shade, I almost got that exact one at target a few weeks ago, maybe I’ll find one at goodwill soon :)

So fun! I grew up with that Home Interiors gold frame with the charming cottage. I think my Mom still has it somewhere. I recently went to TN for my neice’s graduation and went to a few thrift stores wanting to find a mug that said Great Smokey Mountains or had a woodsy animal theme on it. I instead found a deep blue pottery mug singed “bear” which was fitting as our cabin name was cozy cub. I was happy to have found something unique and not massed produced and sold in an airport. 😊
