This Academy Award was dominated by Titanic and rightly so (and by Madonna), it was just that big of a hit with the audiences and critics My favorite is seeing the beautiful and timeless Celine Dion at her prime. Love it! Thanks for uploading - it's always great to go back in time and escape a little bit. RIP James Horner for composing a great soundtrack and a memorable ballad to this film. I would have been standing up from the crowd and applauding the music performances from all the films.

The 1998 Oscars are my favorite of all time! I remember watching them, so many iconic movies. Thank you so much for uploading it with commercials and all, it just takes you right back to that moment in time.

I actually have this on VHS. I was working that night, ironically as an usher at a multiplex, so I recorded it for Aaliyah's performance. I was weirdly obsessed with her version of the song Journey to the Past when I would be cleaning out the cinema that played Anastasia that I bought the soundtrack just for that track.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this Oscars broadcast again. I remember I was in seventh grade when Titanic fever swept the world and at the time of this Oscars telecast I had not seen Titanic in theaters but I finally got to watch it as a kid when it came out on VHS (and still to this day I still have my two VHS copies). Clearly Titanic owned the night by sweeping every category at the Oscars but I’ll never forget how long into the night this ceremony lasted it was nearly 12 am when it ended. I also want to thank the person who uploaded this video i got to watch this Oscars ceremony again.
