I had the same water issue…make sure they check for black mold behind the wall—patching doesn’t remove the unseen damage that made me really sick!

🤢 I would’ve taken everything out of my bathroom… you know they dirty a** shower water or whatever is happening upstairs is going to get everywhere when they “pop” those bubbles.

I'm so glad your apartment issues are slowly being resolved. My landlord takes months to fix any problem I'm having in my apartment, and its so rude because I have been a model tenant for over 16 years. I live in Queens too. Hopefully, you'll consider having a Meet and Greet in the future. I enjoy your content. 🌹

Oh nooo I had that water bubble problem in my last apt. They had to rip out the whole ceiling to repair the issue. I could see into my neighbors bathroom above lol 😬

& the way you feel about your apt is the way I feel about living in Cleveland. Hoping the universe works with me and I wont be resigning a lease here in March.

This exact situation happened to me when I lived in Brooklyn! Once a week the elderly upstairs neighbor would “do laundry” in the bathtub and our bathroom ceiling would flood. At one point I too brought an umbrella into the bathroom!

I'm the same way I complain alot..took them 4weeks to fix 2 outlites!!!! Finally fixed them smh

My daughter and her boyfriend just went through this *&^^ of a flooding problem themselves! The neighbors above them would leave the sink or tub water on and let it overflow and use paper towels instead of toilet paper in the toilet. UGH!1 I am so sorry that you had to go through this!

Do you have renters rights? And always email management,this way you have a paper trail, also ask them to please reply to your email,in regards to repairs

Ask if you can be released from the lease early. I believe it would be justified.

I'm surprised that NYC, being an apartment life haven for many, doesn't have tenant protections and resolution rules about timeliness in fixing problems like you and so many others have there. You are handling this as best as you can and that's great to keep living no matter what. Problems will arise at the least expected times and all we can do is try to solve them the best we can. Oooh my goodness ! I’m so sorry about your apt hassles! You have every right to complain. Esp since you pay top dollar for rent. We are here 4 you. Also, I’ve rented most of my life & I KNOW , Girl ! The struggle is REAL ! Why are Landlords so awful ? Ugh ! SO glad you’ll be moving. I say : Good Riddance to that place !

I’m a little late to the comments and I think some other people already addressed this but your super should be bringing in some fans or something to ensure the wall is thoroughly dry and check for mold. I’ve dealt with mold before and it is a nightmare. I would probably even get your own mold kits if they don’t take you serious.
