After 15years ago watching 2025
ОтветитьI came from 2030😊
ОтветитьThank you Rachel for giving me more encouragement to learn English day by day effectively.
ОтветитьRachel, this vid is missing in your E-book ( American English Pronunciation) on page 143, the link there does not take me anywhere and it shows this message "The page you are looking for does not exist." I had to look for this video myself on you tube, thankfully you still have it there but others might not be able to know how to find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ответить❤❤
ОтветитьWay to go
ОтветитьLove 💞 it!! Very beautiful presentation 😀 good job excellent teacher you're Rachel!!! 👏
ОтветитьRachel , you look like the Jordanian princess that used to be martied to the Dubai's king ,ruler Maktoun. Almost twins
ОтветитьEven though many of your video are very old . But it is still valuable and always useful . Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks teacher
ОтветитьAnd then you will realize that English speakers usually don't pronounce that ed sound, but they tend to link it to the following vowel, e.g., I saved it, sounds most like I savedit"😅
ОтветитьMinha querida rachel,s como e.tão bom aprender com você.
Ответитьme perdí en el verde de sus ojos i love you
Ответитьfarted = fardid
ОтветитьWow 13 yrs ago, you were absolutely gorgeous, stunning and sexy!!!
ОтветитьA quien enseñas ingles cuando lo explicas en ingles ??
ОтветитьShe's so beautiful inside n out and very cultured about the subject <3
ОтветитьThe most clarifying video about this subject I ever seen so far
ОтветитьWonderful explanation! Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьThough it's published more than 10 years ago, you shouldn't omit the /əd/ sound. Otherwise it sounds like British English Pronunciation.
ОтветитьShoww
ОтветитьHi, I believe there is a mistake in the voiced symbol ( /dʒ/). The sound you produce /ʒ/ as in pleasure not /dʒ/ as in judge. I hope you find it useful.
Ответитьgreat.
ОтветитьI just fell in love 🫠
ОтветитьActivity to do in class:
1 - Read all the 19 regular verbs on the list with your students, listen and repeat, and check their pronunciation.
2 - Check their understanding of each verb, and explain any new vocabulary.
3 - Give them time to write all the verbs in the simple past form.
4- Show them the first 3 parts of Rachel´s video, explaining the three different possible pronunciations of ED.
5 - Give them time to finish the list by themselves, choosing the ED ending for each one - T, D, ED.
6 - Watch the rest of Rachel´s video to check your answers.
7 - Check your students´ answers.
8 - Finally, ask them to choose three verbs from the list, write a sentence with each one, and read them in class with the correct pronunciation.

1. Pack
2. Save
3. Land
4. Bake

ОтветитьChèn quả nhạc lúc cả nhà đang ăn nghe rất bình yên, thoải mái. Cứ chèn nhạc như vậy nhé Lộc.
ОтветитьIt good.
ОтветитьAs always, Rachel with high quality content in English. Greetings from this big Colombian fan!
ОтветитьThis video really helps me a lot. Thank you so much! 😄
ОтветитьGod bless you. You do good for people. What a great job
ОтветитьWhat about the adjective ends in -Ed do we pronounce the same as verb too?
ОтветитьTeacher but the "ed" sound after T or D could also be "Təd or Dəd" right? With a schwa. Is it correct?.
ОтветитьAnd the verb manage?
ОтветитьTHANKS A LOT FOR THE EXERCISES !!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThanks teacher
ОтветитьThis was very clear. I practice the pronunciation with the sound of the consonants that appeared in the video. Thanks, professor.
ОтветитьI also find it useful to tell my students that it's only in the 3rd form (d/t) that we ad another syllable.
This way, they learn not to make a vowel sound before the final 'd' or 't' sound in the other 2 forms, which many speakers mistakenly do when reading words ending in 'ed'.
This exercise also applies to adjectives ending in 'ed'.
Always perfect, Rachel!
ОтветитьExcellent explanation!!
ОтветитьThis is kinda hard, the reason why is because I don't listen any difference between "tt" sound and "d" sound
ОтветитьOk
ОтветитьThank you for your video lesson, My school teacher just forced us to memorize all of the [p],[k],... without any proper explanation, this video really saved my pronunciation.
ОтветитьEven Though it's 11 years old video but it so helpful.
I wish I watched this video earlier.
Another great delivery, thanks Rachel.
