Excellent review! I have the wine red sparkle and l love it!🥁♥️
ОтветитьPoplar is not hardwood
ОтветитьI have these and they are just awesome!
ОтветитьGotta love them Breakbeats ✌🏼❤️
ОтветитьGreat reviews except your sound keeps cutting in out in spots
ОтветитьThe kit sounds great and you are a really good drummer
ОтветитьWhat do people think of the pearl midtown set?
Tasty? Smooth?
I love seeing the red mic cable, do you do that to keep track like red=right channel? That’s how I do my OHs haha
Ответитьhell yeah! you're good...i will show this to a good friend. he thinks an e-drum ist better to beginn drumming for his 13 year old daughter. but there is enough room, so they should better put a little work in damping a room
ОтветитьMan I want this color way but I can't find it anywhere!! 😡
ОтветитьBuying this for my daughter for Christmas. Thank you for the video and the advice.
ОтветитьThese drums are also much quieter than normal drums. They are perfect for controlling volume in a practice space or recording studio. A clean mix is much easier with quieter drums
ОтветитьMan, you definitely know what you are doing!!! Best review ever!!! I'm amazed how you made this kit sound, espesially in so much different music styles.. I am looking for a portable and affordable kit with a good sound for my home studio for recordings and to begin spend some time on learning a bit of drums. After your review the case is closed and i'm buying this!! Thank you.
ОтветитьWhere do u get this finish?
ОтветитьThis could be for me a real drumkit for fusion, techno, jazz and rock music that really cuts through. And I can even convert it to a hybrid drumkit! I want one of those now!
ОтветитьI purchsed these as a kit for smaller venues and ease of transport. Whilst satisfied more or less with the build, I swapped the drum heads out for Remos as opposed to the set supplied. Big improvement. I also had the bearing edges recut which turned them into a real drum. However the bad manufacture of the fitting has proved to be a major let down. Tension rods and lugs not machined accurately or adequately mean that tuning is a herculean task. I'm changing out all the tension rods but the problem with the lugs themselves remains. Buy a set of small Gretsch Catalinas. By the time you get the Breakbeats sorted, it will have cost the same. Poor show Chinese Ludwigs, my Chinese Gretsch are far superior
ОтветитьSnare sounds great without that dumb donut and wires off
ОтветитьHey Nick! Great review. I HAVE to ask, what cymbals do you have? That ride is clean 💯
ОтветитьIts not a beginners drum at all i think good also in studio recording. Love yo setup
ОтветитьThe amount of people saying he is an awesome drummer, makes my head explode. I mean, is not common to see such a crap drummer on the net like this guy.
ОтветитьAnyone know any quiet heads that would work for the kick?
ОтветитьDoes it come with cymbals and hihats
ОтветитьMen you’re a great drums tunner! That hight tom seems like a challenge
ОтветитьI don’t think I’ll ever get rid of my breakbeats kit. They are to practical for these days. And sound very good. Awesome video here. Like and subscribed.
Ответитьdoes this kit come with cymbals?
ОтветитьGreat review Nick. I'm primarily a jazz drummer. I've been using Ludwig Questlove Breakbeats kit for several years now. I used it to replace my old Ludwig kit that had a 22" bass drum. Very happy with my decision. Replaced all the heads with thin 1 ply heads which is perfect for the music I play. Always have lots of compliments on the sound of my drums. Much easier to carry this kit around than my old kit. 😀 I was always curious what rock and pop drummers thought of this drum-set so really appreciate your review. I also should mention that I replaced the snare drum that came with the kit with a really nice Omar Hakim model.
ОтветитьGreat review. This kit looks perfect for what I am looking for!
Ответитьit's for pro to... full
it's time to grow up!!!
for money it does not make it for adults or children
I always wondered about these breakbeat kits. I like the looks and the size, but I guess it’s not ideal for rock music idk
ОтветитьHonestly, id rather just set up a 12, 14, 20. From my larger kit. Not tht much different size wise but that 20 bass drum!!! Yep
ОтветитьYou mentioned this is good for a 10-15 year old…what about a 25 year old🤣
ОтветитьI wish you hadn't muffled all the sound out of the drums! These drums are supposed to sing a bit more.
ОтветитьThis sounds excellent. I’m considering it for home recording. Your demonstration showed that it records very well!
ОтветитьOn my way to pick a used set this afternoon.
Ответитьexcellent video. my son has this kit for jazz and rock and loves it. I found my way to your video while searching for replacement drum heads for it.
can you please explain how you mic’d the kit for this video? the heads and damping are important ingredients to the sound, but so are the mics! also, did you do any compression or other audio post-processing? thanks so much for a very useful and well produced video.
Great review man, really appreciate it. Kit and the drumming both sound great!
ОтветитьThis was a good review and demonstration by you. Thanks
ОтветитьNice drumming! What drum heads are you using in this video? Subbed
ОтветитьI play metal on my qlbb.
ОтветитьGday mate, was wondering if youd ever played the tama club jam and what you thought of it in a direct head to hear with the Ludwig breakbeat kit?
ОтветитьLove the finish on this kit. Sounds great, too. I have a New Yorker I’m pretty happy with for the 150 I paid but it’s the Aqua Bats version so it looks pretty silly imo. Also has a DW 9000 double pedal and hi hat stand, and over $1000 in cymbals on it lol
Ответитьdoes all the hardware come with 499 I'm paying for ?
ОтветитьWhat you're playing is definitely not a $500 shell pack. You're playing something with premium shells, hoops, and lugs.
ОтветитьThis is my kit... love it! 💫
ОтветитьI have one. Put a great snare and cymbals with good heads and you will have an amazing kit!
ОтветитьI've got Remo coated ambassador X on batter side for both toms, and clear ambassadors on resonant sides. For the kick I'm using an Aquarian Super kick I clear for batter side, and bass drum reso head is unported. I'm telling you guys, my kick sounds like a higher tuned 20x14 with that head configuration. The ambassador X's on the toms are perfect, and I think will be my go-to coated heads for drums from now on..Medium high tuning on these drums really make them sing. Great review on these drums ! 👍
ОтветитьI like the cymbals you paired with the kit. They go well together.
ОтветитьBro, sick setup. But the dead toms take so much away from the vibrancy you could have.
ОтветитьThe recording setup here is so good
