- Bagwell’s girlfriend’s testimony played a critical role in him being found guilty. She tesitifed that they had gone to the home of Bagwell’s mother at 2 AM after consuming drugs. She testified that she witnessed Bagwell striking his mother in the head, and heard the two children screaming as they were being attacked. She also led police to locations where Bagwell had discarded incriminating evidence along their getaway route.
