Pearain is back with a new single "Ashes", which is also his first single after joining NSMG.
Produced by AJ Chang with lyrics penned by Tina Wang, the single is a melodic ballad that resonates with the aftermaths of a heartbreak. "Ashes" describes a relationship as a flame, something that gives us warmth but also reliance so that when it comes to an end, we're reluctant to let go.

《灰烬》是由台湾知名创作人张杰精心制作，金牌作词人王雅君倾情填词，旋律舒缓悠扬的一首动人情歌。以弦乐器搭配钢琴再加上少年清冷的嗓音，使得整首歌的气氛忧郁而孤独。
【我该如何将你从回忆里都删去 请你全部都毁弃 只剩下灰烬】有人说感情如同“火焰”，能给人带来温暖，才会让人贪恋。然而在炙热绚烂的燃烧过后，只剩下风吹而散的灰烬与逐渐逝去的温度，转瞬即逝，无法挽留。《灰烬》这首歌便表达了这样一份情绪，当爱已消失殆尽，有遗憾、有不甘、有痛苦，最终却也只剩下无可奈何。或许所有的痛苦都会随着灰烬被风吹散，又或许所有的希望都能在灰烬中重生...
