If you want to help the Sorcerer (Divine soul) / Rogue (Swashbuckler). Try twin spell hast on you and a partner. Than you have more movement, an extra attack action (increasing your sneak attack probability), and more AC.
If you use a Warlock (Celestial) Pack of the Tomb / Rogue (Arcane Trickster), it gives you a bunch more cantrip and ritual capabilities allowing you to become a more versatile support character.

You guys really need to play as a multiclass with a dip into alchemist. Rogue and alchemist is excellent. Better than straight rogue in most cases. Remember that the humunculus can deliver your elixirs as a ba. Also try out the wild magic barb with alchemist! It's amazing!

I usually just ignore the Stat Requirement when Multi-classing.

If someone wants to be a Dexadin having 20 on Dex and 8 in Strength. Why not? While it is in a way Min-maxing. I don’t see it as a bad thing as it creates a lot of unique character ideas if you loosen the “You need 13 to be this Class” rule.

gloomstalker/assassin is by far the strongest multiclass for rogues and it stays thematic as both are high initiative and stealth based classes

Artificer/rogue anytime a skill check needs to be made: "shut up and hold my beer, I pass the check."

Rogues have such a malleable skill set. Adding anything to it vastly improves it. Spells? Absolutely! Combat abilities? Absolutely! Support abilities? Absolutely! They're the perfect class for multiclassing. I'm playing a rogue wizard right now, and it's so much fun

I think a full Inigo Montoya build needs a dip into Barbarian in addition to vengeance Paladin. This is because his passion really ignites his dueling capabilities as we see in his fight with the Six Fingered Man.

Zorro is more of a combination of Fighter with the his highly technical Dueling abilities and Monk because he often throws in kicks with other unarmed strikes.

Batman can be different combos depending entirely on what source you draw from. A more tech based would be artificer with Tavern Brawler and Grappler feats. 2022 Batman is more angry so you can throw in Barbarian instead and probably Monk.

Barbarian/Rogue definitely feels like a Pathfinder Ruffian. Soul Knife actually does synergize with reckless attack, and the whole build ends up feeling like you're a mob enforcer rather than a sneaky burglar. Especially with expertise in intimidation and athletics (grappling).

Thief rogue in BG3 is crazy good though in ennhacing, especially with monks and dual wielding attackers. There aren't too many builds that get 3 attacks from level 1. They are definitely great in the martial characters because they don't make any sacrifices in spell casting potential.

Rogues are mostly just a class you multiclass into, rarely is it the main class in a combination. Mostly you just want the expertise, cunning action, and subclass feature. If they had extra attack, then they would be more viable as a main class.

Barb/rogue is so good and very tanky, 6 lvl barb to get those rages and the extra attack and 2nd subclass features, and the rest rogue, phantom in late game or thief in early game to weaponize BA

Be vedalken for insane saves, and with thief you can get healer's feat and you are a pseudo paladin (also those heals are twice as effective for you)

I like the Cleric Rogue Combo but to justify the religious part, go Assassin. Be an Assassin of a Religious order. If you want to be good, just go with Tyr and fight for Justice from the shadows. If you want to go evil if fits with most of them. You can go with Trickery Domain to augment your stealth and have a lot of fun with that.

For those that want a Batman. Or any PC that uses fists. Just get tavern brawler at lvl4. None of the chars we like can knock out in a punch on any creature. Even goons. But we love the constant smashes. +1 str or con. And anything is a weapon. Batman doesn't make his gear. And his utility is improvise tool

I love the rogue who worships the Lady of Luck as a Thief+Trickster combo thematicly

i'm very surprised Zephyr Strike isn't even mentioned. It literally says auto disengage every turn for 1 minute while giving advantage and 1d8 once on a bonus action.

After playing Swashbuckler/Bear Totem at levels 8, 10 and 11, Rogue Barbarian is 100% an S. Uncanny Dodge with rage resistance means you basically don't take damage. When i get BG3, that's how I'll use Karlach.

I just noticed. Did they ever address why they skipped the Ranger when doing their multiclass videos?

That moment when they figure out the swashbuckler/oath of vengeance thing is so oddly wholesome.

I just started a game of Rime of the Frostmaiden with a rogue who plans on multiclassing Light cleric. Thought it was a super cool choice but no idea how it will end up working out

I think sorcerer is way better if you take quicken spell metamagic sneak attack with B.A. spells is neat.

I chose to try for the first time an arcane trickster/psychic warrior combo and it is beyond the best rouge I have ever tried especially with the dice gods giving me a nat 20 in strength, dex, and charisma I can do anything I choose to do whether I want to constantly attack or persuade the enemy to do anything I choose or just mess everything up I choose

An Oath of vengeance paladin 11/swashbuckler rogue 9 with a rapier can do 2d8 + dex + 6d6 sneak attack + 1d8 improved divine smite + 4d8 divine smite + 3d6 searing smite, so the max damage, with max dex but no crit is 115, this is without your extra attack you get for being a lvl 5 paladin or crit which would increase it to 230 in one hit

I'm playing a Arcane Trickster and want to take blade singer levels but it's damn hard to multi class out of Arcane Trickster until after 9th level. Maybe 10th 😅. I hate giving up an ASI.😂

played gnome trickster/bladesinger. its a lot of fun.

Swashbuckler Rogue + Battle Master Fighter gets probably the most ridiculous combo of reaction based Sneak Attack opportunities, which lets you more than make up for any lost Rogue levels, and gives us access to all the fun Fighter stuff, and with shield proficiency we can just max DEX and have extremely high AC. If you can get away with it take Magic Initiate if you can afford it for Booming Blade, a cantrip of your choice, and Find Familiar. Put together you’re left with a character that can do almost anything really well.

Rats have a plus 0 from their dex so it would be a plus 16 to stealth checks but that’s still insane. If you want a better stealth form check out spider stat block compared to the rat.

Been watching your multiclass tier ranking videos again and noticed your one note view of the hexblade warlock in all of them. Why does everyone assume that the best pact boon for them is the blade? Especially when multiclassing with the rogue?
Experience has taught me that the best option is pact of the chain with an imp familiar. Heck, I used that when multiclassed with a bard and our party used the imp more than our rogue for scouting and infiltration. (Of course, Voice of the Chain Master is essential.)
I’m with you on the swashbuckler/hexblade combo since that emphasizes melee and probably makes the best use of a high charisma.

Rogue/Cleric makes me think of Thane from ME2. Twilight/Assassin sounds cool. Also, my idea of Rogue/Cleric is that they shouldn't know that they cast spells. They whisper a prayer before picking a lock without realising they casted a guidance on themself, etc

Big fan of the Rogue/ Sorc builds. I feel like Shadow Sorc is more fun than just Arcane Trickster and allows you to be the Face with high Cha. And Draconic Sorc is a great dip for anyone with light armor who doesn't want to burn spell slots on Mage Armor (similar to taking the Eldritch Invocation for free Mage Armor) giving your dex character a strict AC upgrade over non-magical light armors
