As much as I love matco Michael if I was to recommend a flashlight brand.... olight all the way. Constantly running sales and top quality product.
ОтветитьBeen a diesel semi truck tech for 30 years and I love these tool truck videos
ОтветитьIf you're a Mechanic and don't use colorful metaphors..You either walk with Jesus or a mute....
And just because you don't yell it.. We know you thought about it..
I would add. I'm a flashlight nut. I switched to Olight. And I drop them. Kick them all the time.. They just keep going. And the cost savings from nut buying batteries has paid for them. As well there magnetic base and charging is great. I had some drive drive off still stuck to the vehicle. It come back and it was still stuck under that truck...
My most used tool - pocket screwdriver. I use that everyday for everything - it's a screwdriver, scraper, prybar, o-ring pick, you name it.
Ответить3/8 is great for starting out in Diesel. if a 3/8 ratchet won't do it, you really need an impact anyway for the vast majority of stuff. large SAE 1/2" drive impact sockets and 3/8 drive chrome is my choice.
ОтветитьAnybody know the part number on those sockets?
ОтветитьImo get the best tools you can afford without going into debt. Harbor Freight will get you by until finances improve. I think your first quality tool should be a Matco 3/8 flex head rachet.
ОтветитьThe girls smile when he almost says strap on 🤣🤣😭😭
ОтветитьMy personal experience with warranty between the Top 3. I had a snap on torque wrench turn itself into a breaker bar without notice and I broke a cam cap bolt off into the head of a motorcycle. Called snap on. No warranty and quoted me 25% more than the website price for a replacement. Both Mac and Snapon tool trucks have been booted off the property of my company’s shop for brutal warranty practices. Matco is the only one that services our shop now.
ОтветитьWish I had a Matco dealer where I was the one guy retired before I started where I actually live. I’d buy there tools less pushy than snap on well minus my dealer he has an empty truck and barely comes around lol
ОтветитьThanks. I just got approved to be a Matco Dealer in my area hear in Ohio. Discussing it more tomorrow.
ОтветитьMy Matco dealer sells gp and can warranty them and I love them
ОтветитьUnder 19mm you can absolutely use chrome and they wont bust. Especially if your getting top of the line stuff like matco snapon mac.
ОтветитьMan just about said strap-on lmao
ОтветитьYou sold me Michael, You are refreshingly honest. Wish I lived closer. Do you do ant mail order?
ОтветитьHonestly when do you need chrome sockets?
ОтветитьWhat color is that toolbox
ОтветитьStrap o.. snap on 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьMr and Miss Matco Thank you

Questions time WHY NO MATCO TOOLS IN UK LONDON ENGLAND 🤔 😢 😕
KNOWLEDGEABLE KOON TRUCKING
From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧
I wish my matco guy would be like that
ОтветитьWhen I first started as a tech, I went to harbor freight and spent $1200. I stayed off the tool trucks. When my cheapo tools broke, I replaced broken or underperforming tools with tool truck tools. Eventually graduating up to a used snap on tool box, replaced cheap harbor freight air tools with electric DeWalt, and snap on wrenches and ratchets. This method I used saved me a lot of money and kept me out of tool truck debt. I still have many cheap harbor freight and Stanley tools in my box that I still use. A lot of new techs get themselves into debt, walking onto the tool trucks and grabbing all the tools they need, big fancy boxes, etc.
ОтветитьAs a brand new technician on the job but a very experienced back yard mechanic. I chose a 3/8 &1/4 ratchet set, a metric and SAE ratchet wrench set, a flash light before I set foot on a tool truck. After my first week I stepped on the took truck and the most important thing I stepped off with was my impact driver with the master but set. Not every job is the same but for my job it’s by far been the most valuable thing I have in the box. Loved this video and I’m jealous of the authenticity of your tool truck guys.
ОтветитьI’ve been a forklift tech for over 20yrs and a life long Snap-On customer but that’s probably because this guy wasn’t my Matco salesman. Good honest talk. We need more of this.
ОтветитьTimes is hard Mike. We can start a go-funnnin'- him for a beard trimmin' ! ;-)~
ОтветитьDo you not have a Mac dealer? I haven't seen any videos from you about Mac tools.....
Ответитьeverything is a prybar/hammer 😂
ОтветитьTeext the dumbest comments on ye keeyberd
Gat dayum haders
rips ass
I agree with your HarborFreight is the way to go
Ответитьthe biggest problem in my area with tool truck franchises is not the dealers. it is the fact that 90% of the technicians get paid so LITTLE that they cannot afford top dollar tools. IMO i really don't know how the TT dealers are able to make a living in my area...
Ответитьlol i love videos like is they show how out of touch oler people are witxh gen z, sprry but spewnding $200 on a basic ratchet is a terribke idea. id warranty my kobalt racthet 200 times before i did that smh
ОтветитьI know this is an old video but I have to say I was one of those guys who could not get myself to buy from a tool truck because of the price factor, and I still have not been on a tool truck but you and Michael have really educated me on the process of the tool truck, it's the dealer and the warranty that what you are buying, I have really enjoyed seeing these videos and getting educated, Thank you Clay & Matco Michael, you are one of the best tool dealers out there.
ОтветитьThat man was tryna move to the next shop and y’all yapppin for too long he’s tryna sell tools not talk gossip
ОтветитьImpacts machine easy if you gotta make a thinner wall socket in the lathe 😎
ОтветитьClay, Are the Matco Pliers Channellock or Wilde rebrands? That Matco air impact is the beast to end all beasts if you can afford it.
ОтветитьIm a collision tech. I went to school for it and my college gave us a 3/8 + 1/4 silver eagle set came with wrenches pliers and all sorts of goods. I would have gladly stayed with matco but I have no trucks near me besides mac and snap on. If they even show up. Havent seen a tool truck in 3 months. And per the starting a business and running a matco truck. I dont have the capitol to put down to do that.
ОтветитьClay / matco ive had quite a problem with warranting out my beoken matco tools! The dealer in my area wouldn't warranty anything for me. I talked to matco corporate and they want me to write down every drill bit in 3 sets, sockets, plyers and a few wrenches. And ratchet rebuild. My mac dealer was a tech and even knew the matco guy and tried to get them swapped out with no luck. I havent had a Snap-on dealer in years. Snap-on made it easy for me to email & call them to get stuff replaced. Sent them photos of the tools and got some replaced and also had to send some in. Matco wont do that for me.
ОтветитьI have an older 1/2 impact that I got the number off my dad's old impact. And no new air impact will compare to how hard it hits and rates. Thank God for ebay to get old new stock
ОтветитьI definitely agree. Start with air.
ОтветитьNo matter the tool Truck nothing on that truck matters more than those pictures on that wall and techs need to realize we make our living fixing and buying tools and the tool truck dealers make a living serving us what we need support them they support you!
ОтветитьBeen a Snap On guy, but lately I've been boarding the Matco truck and getting more comfortable with my dealer. Haven't noticed anything major in quality difference so far, but I've saved about 1000$
ОтветитьI'm sorry skip harbor freight. I've broken too much from them. Yes it's under warranty but I like tools I don't have to use the warranty on and keeps me working
ОтветитьSnap on have the thinnest chrome sockets but man are you gonna pay for it?
ОтветитьWe want the girl’s opinion on all this 😂
ОтветитьAnd her ass is more popular than the tools!
ОтветитьWhat is it with those barren Matco trucks?
ОтветитьI'm very surprised he never said anything about wrenches... I understand that they're usually a pretty costly for a good set. I've been through several cheap and mid level priced wrenches and I curse myself for not springing for a good high end set. IMO either Snap On flank drive or Mac precision torque/knuckle savers are the best choice but damn are they pricey. Ever since Gearwrench started sourcing the majority of their tools from China and not Taiwan, they suck. I'm currently saving for a metric set of USAG 285s , as they are a cheaper Mac RBRT wrench. Probably won't be my go to everyday wrench but just rounded fasteners and continue with my Sunex long combination or Icon ratcheting set as my standard everyday use. But I live in the rust belt Northeast n they aren't very good on rusted or super torqued bolts.
ОтветитьI love these folks. All three of them. Good advice, honesty and hard working.
ОтветитьI just want to know why you guys got a horrible warranty because I can never get my macro tools warrantied anywhere so therefore I will never buy another one from maco thank God 90% of my tools for snap-on snap-on has the best warranty by far
Ответить
