Ответитьwhats that ride service called? thats interesting very cool
Ответить6400 ft wow thats intense
ОтветитьThe guy at the bike shop was right about the Pinion gearbox. I have a Priority 600 with a Pinion gearbox and it is an astonishing drivetrain. It’s like having the gears of a 32 speed mountain bike in a 12 speed shifter. I have yet to find a hill I can’t get up and I’m in terrible shape. LOL!
ОтветитьI am happy that you were able to repair the wheel and continue on your trek. Having been over Monarch and other passes in the Rockies, I suspect that you will be ordering a bike with a pinion gear box sooner than expected. I noticed that you chose not to try Loveland Pass. That too is a tough one. Certainly the Mount Evans Scenic Byway was closed by snow when you were in Denver. I questioned whether the Subaru would continue up Monarch when we drove it. It was up to the task, but I can't imagine peddling up it.
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video, just want to add that wheel building is a skill. Respect.
ОтветитьAfter seeing the shot of the crack in your rim, I think it would have been crazy to try to continue riding on it. Good choice to opt for a ride into Denver!
ОтветитьYour blessed to have friends spread out all over the country. Glad the wheel worked out. Pinion gear would be nice but at my age an electric bike may come first.😂😂 I think you would really enjoy it. Imagine the country you could cover then.
Take care, Al
Are You thinking about getting a Co-Motion Americano with a Pinion ?? I can recommend Alex at The Hub Bike shop in Kirkwood, Missouri, or St Louis Missouri. He works with Co-Motion a lot and helped me build my current Co Motion Cascadia. The bike is well built and the service I got from Alex was unbelievable. I been riding this one here is Florida and will be taking it on a Gravel Tour in September for the first time. Let me know if I can help with your new touring Bike....I guess your can always ride out to Eugene Oregon and be fitted at the Factory. Rolf Prima or astral wheels are standard on the bike and build in Eugene Oregon as well.......
ОтветитьCliffhanger! (pun intended)
ОтветитьI have a Priorty 600 contact me for my opinion on the gearbox.
ОтветитьThe stay in Denver was a nice rest and visit but cranking out the same miles after 5 days off must have been tough
ОтветитьHi, thank you for the videos. I have two questions. What for a camera do you using and how do you attach them? thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video! Looking forward to seeing you climb those mountains! 👍👌
ОтветитьBig kudos to Nebraska Public Transit for being there when you needed it.
ОтветитьHa! You're literally in my neighborhood here. Of course at the time we were on our own cross country trip, so nobody was home. Hope you enjoyed my city.
ОтветитьWhats that thing you wrapped around your stove and pot while making tea? looks like it saves fuel and helps cook faster
ОтветитьSo glad we could help you on your journey! It's really cool to see how our work at KCTS impacts others in a positive way!
ОтветитьIt was good to meet you. Good luck on your journey and be safe.
Ответить5 days really put you being scheduled but I'm sure it was well worth it knowledge wise and filled you up emotionally staying with your friend's family.
My favorite part begins!
I ride a Priority 600 Pinion and Gates belt. It comes with flat bar. I replaced it with a dropbar.
ОтветитьI love that Sabotage from the Beastie Boys was playing in Joe’s garage. Nice 👍
ОтветитьYou are quite a cinematographer. This is production quality. Can't believe I get to stream this content for free.
ОтветитьHi I used to live in Bridgeport bicycling is really fun 👍✌️
ОтветитьWow, fortune follows the bold my friend. You happened to be in the right town to get hooked up with that shuttle service and then be with a great support group of friends to help you out. I always learn something new about dealing with adverse situations while touring from watching your videos. I'm on another mini-tour myself this week. We are having beautiful weather, but on my first day I encountered a stiff headwind for 35 miles straight. It got trustrating at times, but I was thinking of your videos and how you always endure the wind by not fighting it and just downshift and get into a smooth cadence until you get a break from it.
ОтветитьYou made it, you've been talking about CO for days and days. Glad to see the trail angels helped you with your rear rim.
ОтветитьThe transit service is remarkable ! If you are ever in a pickle like that again, I noticed that AAA has a roadside assistance program for bicycles that includes a 200 mile radius transport.
