ОтветитьOK I'm from Vojvodina which is a autonomous province of Serbia and it feels like no place else in the world. We were part of Hungary for some 900 years so there's obviously a significant Hungarian minority and cultural influence but it's also been multi ethnic for centuries. There are several official languages and like that we have several countries and regions in our province, we have Hungarian, Romanian, Slovakian, Ruthenian snd Czech cities and villages. Can you imagine, there's a village called Česka Ves in Serbia? Or Ruski Krstur where Ruthenians live while they're denied existence in Ukraine. We have several various religions and churches Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Calvinist, Lutheran, Greek Catholic etc. even small villages with 2-3000 inhabitants often have two or three churches and it's been like that for centuries. Only thing we're missing are our Germans(Swabians) because communists decided to expel them after WW2.
ОтветитьTransylvania was transferred back to Romania, it wasn’t just “transferred”.
The single word that you’ve missed that gives different perspectives.
Most city centres in Western Europe feel like the Middle East, so where is the point?
ОтветитьForgot Kosovo, in Serbia but about 90% Albanians. They even mostly function as a separate country
Ответить400th comment! 😊
ОтветитьThe Szekely have long ceased to exist. While they existed, they fought fanatically against the Hungarians to preserve their autonomy. After the Hungarians made the Szekely disappear, they claimed they were Szekely to had claims to absolute autonomy from Romania. But the area was never independent. It was always part of Transylvania. And Transylvania was always mostly inhabited by Romanians. Even the statistics of the Hungarian State show this. So the Hungarians who live in the eastern area of Transylvania...are not Szekely.
