How to Take Care of Sandy Brown Hair | High Porosity Hair care Tips

This video is a revelation for me ! I had no idea my porosity and my hair color are connected. My hair turned fine sandy brown when I got sick 12 years ago , I used to have thick jet black hair ! 🙁

I looked up the products so I can try them on my hair but it looks like the beautiful textures moisture butter is no longer being produced. What do you use now?

Your girls are so cute!☺ You guys are a beautiful family! I'm super late but is it true that with my high porosity hair I shouldn't use sulfate shampoos and silicone conditioners? If I use sulfate shampoo I sometimes mix conditioner in with it to make it less harsh. I thought I might need a sulfate shampoo to wash out all the shea butter that I use. Silicone conditioners are one of the only things that help to make my hair lay down! Especially when I wear it in a slicked back bun. I'm always trying shampoos and conditioners to find the best one for me. I have ezcema too. I'm still on the hunt😄 Also is the loc method best for me? Thank you!

I had sandy brown coils kinky 4b/c hair my entire life. But it’s the total opposite- or was - extremely low porosity. Since I’ve colored it - The porosity isn’t horrible but… yeah. Wish I knew info for that.

I knew I wasn’t crazy, my son has very light sandy brown hair he even has blond edges and the ends are a dark blonde. It’s extremely dry and high porosity. It’s been a challenge to learn becuase so many ppl teach that high porosity is only from damage (from color or relaxers) so it’s very comforting to see so many comments on here about the sandy brown struggles.
