Wooly sculpin still one of my faves!
ОтветитьHoping to come see you on the Madison this summer. I mainly guide rivers in Western MT but need to get out there.

Nice to meet ya Mel, and the crew, and as always great insights Kelly😉☕️☕️
ОтветитьThis was videography perfection keep ‘em coming everyone
ОтветитьKeeping it real as always! Thanks again!
ОтветитьDid you know all of those guy’s grew their own mustaches on set! That was pretty cool.
ОтветитьLess talk, more Mel.
ОтветитьWish you happy days Kelly and Mel !!!
ОтветитьGranted your a fly fish guru but your dam near a 100 why do you have girlfriend and haven’t made no family? Loser
ОтветитьI love the all black stealth Clack.
ОтветитьNice one Kelly always a lot of fun..." The Tug Is The Drug''
ОтветитьI really appreciate the fast fish handleing. Speed getting em back above all else. Thanks for the video as always
ОтветитьAnother great informative, well produced video. The cast in slow motion tip is awesome when things break down on the cast.
ОтветитьForgot your oars and lost the best fish of the day. Sounds like something I would do. This was my favorite video.
ОтветитьWell done Kelly. Mel and crew. The classics, like us geezers who still pound the water? There are no "old" flies or fisher folks just classics. The Dude abides as always.
ОтветитьGreat, super informative video as always. But Bradon might consider utilizing a gimbal and mounting it to the top of a monopod when shooting boat-to-boat. A steadier camera will up his game considerably. Something like a DJI RS4 or RS4pro (or similar) depending on the weight of his camera. ;-)
ОтветитьDrink every time Kelly refers to "Pegging"
ОтветитьPurist.
ОтветитьI bought your first book in January of 2000. I tied a bunch of patterns from the book and my absolute best producer on the White and Norfork rivers in Arkansas was an Olive Wooly Sculpin, and a close second was the an Olive Rattlesnake . I still have my box of them along with Madonnas and Twin Tail Madonnas as well. I going to fish them again!
ОтветитьI wish Kelly would stop making these dam videos. He makes them and 10 min after I watch it I am ordering a few flies he was using and changing techniques. Love these videos😂
ОтветитьTook me years to figure out to start with the tip section when assembling a fly rod.
ОтветитьWatch video, adds to cart:
9ft 2x fluoro leader
Tan wooly sculpin
Twistons
3/16” tungsten beads
JJ streamer
Mel
He straightened my hook out!. Been there done that. I was gear fishing with a Rapala and missed what was probably a 5 lb large mouth, which is a big bass in Michigan. I was kicking my self all day until I looked at the lure. Yep one of the hooks was bent. I guess it happens to everyone. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
ОтветитьJust fished that stretch a few weeks ago. Glad to see some of the mud cleared up on the left side bank.
ОтветитьAs always, amazing video. From NE Ohio. Fish steelhead here. Heading to the hebgen and the madison next week. Stopping by the slip Inn to stock up. Can't wait to get out fished by my 13 year old!
ОтветитьI love the fusion of gear and fly fishing. These videos have rekindled my interest in the fly rod after getting bored of throwing small nymphs and catching tiny fish...or getting skunked! Thanks for all the info!
ОтветитьThe coolest guy ever Kelly
Ответитьtake a drink every time kelly says peg 😅
ОтветитьGreat tip from camera guy Braeden! Always helps to slow things down
ОтветитьThe kid with the samich is my hero.....He will be famous one day.
ОтветитьThanks Keely, seeing the TIPS that you use during the float in the riveris ... is very useful for us.
From Argentina PATAGONIA. LIMAY RIVER
Greetings Marcelo 🤗
I can’t believe people pay $600 a day to drift that river for these dinks . 6 hours 3/4 shakers with a guide and fancy gear . Pretty sad
ОтветитьBirdy's Buddy here. Thanks for the lessons and tips, I have learned a ton from you over the years. I'm going to try that tungsten bead next time I'm out. Great shot of Kyler with the sandwich too! Kelly, you are the absolute best! Thanks again, I enjoyed the time at the shop on Sunday.
ОтветитьIt’s always good to know that I’m not the only person who missed giant fish 😂
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьI love Mel's surprise at the fish on... haha
ОтветитьLots of great info! Thank you sir!
ОтветитьEnjoyed this, great video. Hoping to make a float trip one day. This was a good look at what is would be like. Thanks
ОтветитьI'm glad I'm not the only one. Drove 45 minutes to the river and left my waders sitting on the bench in the garage.
ОтветитьMuch Thanks from NW Michigan 🎉
🌟🎣💫
I wish Kelly was my dad.
ОтветитьGreat vid and does Mel have a twin that’s like her
ОтветитьWhat if you put the cone head on backwards, won't that contribute to some sculpin-ey action.
ОтветитьBTW, Nice Stick is a great thing to say when you want to clear out a men's room and have it to yourself
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. Great stuff.
ОтветитьA bobber stop would probably work well with to hold those beads in place as well
ОтветитьAre the beads for a little clackity clack noise? Does anybody else here use noise making rigs for trout?
ОтветитьThis is great stuff!
