This aria is from "Turandot" also by Puccini, and not "La Boheme."
ОтветитьBritish have always had a say in our politics. Funny how nobody mentions the (((other))) country that does.
ОтветитьEnjoy your take on everything!
ОтветитьWalter is on the money. TRUMP rally is the political version of a DEAD SHOW...excited for whatever may come next, and loving every unscripted jam on the way there
ОтветитьYou guys are kind of forgetting that Trump had a convention in 2020 as the President. It was more of a tv show because of Covid, but it happened.
ОтветитьI really like Walter but he dominates the conversation a bit. Maybe more than a bit…lol. More Matt please.
ОтветитьWalter - you are so human and kind. Thank you.
Ответить!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI don’t think Trump’s speech was rambling. I found him to have been introspective and pensive. And genuine and real

Walter, Thank you for being born.
Just like the good old days
Ответитьyou can tell they're in adjacent rooms by the hotel art. why didn't y'all just buddy up?
ОтветитьRoad trip road trip road trip
ОтветитьThat bit of opera was also in Cher's Moonlighting movie. Also played in Trump White House for events.
My favorite part of the RNC was the very end, after the fat man sang. All Trumps family, kids, spouses, the Vance's joined him onstage. His grandkids were playing with the balloons and running around the adults in a way anyone with a large family would recognize. One of the littler girls got upset, and walked over to Trump and leaned against him. He didn't miss a beat in his conversation but reached down to pat her shoulder, and she hung there for a while. Well behaved but slightly rowdy kids and grandkids are a good sign -- either of him, or his ability to choose good women to mother well.
Kung Fu Panda There are no accidents. Claiming this was a glich in a upgrade is patently false. They do upgrades that may cause big problems on weekends!
ОтветитьDon’t ascribe to conspiracy what can easily be explained by stupidity.
ОтветитьShysterism
ОтветитьI'm interested in Walter's views on Project 2025.
ОтветитьGreat work you guys, great shows!
ОтветитьIt was an awful speech. I went out to walk my dog halfway through and I come back in to hear him describe out capital as a “horrible killing field.” It was absurd. Trump opened the door for a competent Democrat. Trump is too old and sounds a bit senile as well. Compared to Biden he looks energetic as well.
ОтветитьGreat coverage guys. 👍🏻👍🏻Very insightful. I value both of your opinions even those I disagree with.
ОтветитьWalter's great free-range imagination really gets close to reality ...
ОтветитьThank you for covering this, folks!
Ответитьhands down the best podcast out there. Thanks so much for being who you are, the two of you. I'm so glad Matt that you stopped doing Useful Idiots and started doing this. This is extraordinary analysis.
ОтветитьMatt, the word you're looking for is "fuckery".
ОтветитьEconomy has to be linked with making peace with Russia. There is something we don’t know about the real reason for the Russiagate and Ukraine war and UK economic interests
Walter’s analysis of Trumps psyche was excellent and very nuanced
Trump is going to make them an offer they can't refuse. 😅
ОтветитьThere was no cyber attack wtf? CrowdStrike just made a bad update out of basic negligence
ОтветитьWalter, thank you for recognizing Trump’s trauma after a near death experience and his probable survivor guilt. What I saw during his speech was an extreme extrovert still in shock from the events on Sunday. As a grief counselor, I have observed extroverts talk incessantly after trauma to avoid the overwhelming pain. Introverts retreat into themselves and refuse to talk.
ОтветитьAnd AICAP?
ОтветитьEye opening perspective. Thank you.
ОтветитьMatt, use an anti paywall browser extension 😊
ОтветитьLove it!!!!
ОтветитьHere is something to pay attention to:Zelensky now talking peace. Trump is in and suddenly Zelensky wants Russia at peace summit. So this really was Biden’s war? Disgusting. I would have leaned toward another Democrat, most likely, but now I just can’t see voting for a Democrat. I fear war as well.
ОтветитьAbout Walter's comment on war, do you think that they are going to try to move troops or escalate war before Trump takes office, (assuming the Republican's win the election) ?
ОтветитьRFK Jr. 2024
ОтветитьI agree with Walter a lot, and sometimes I don't - but either way I love to hear him seducing me into his argument! lol
ОтветитьI agree with Mr Walter. Steele can print his tweet out file it appropriately.
ОтветитьFear or loathing of the dark notwithstanding Trump can mesmerize an audience like poppa reading to the children at bedtime.
ОтветитьWalter, when in Trumps history do you see him genuinely anything? When is he not posing? Sympathy? When has he been sympathetic? He is the icon of narcissism. He feasts on the public not with the public.
Ответитьgolgi!
ОтветитьIt’s been a wild ride.
ОтветитьThank you gentlemen! Love you both!
ОтветитьMatt, I've followed you for many years. I'm a long time fan of your writing and analysis. I can certainly understand why you dislike your former associates in the corporate press, and creeps like Christopher Steele, and I'm with you in opposition to the war. But there is a kind of smugness and overconfidence creeping in to your analysis, which seems to be veering into partisanship for the other side. Jan 7 was real. The guy who shot Trump seems to have been just another nut of the type who are all too common in our country. I don't think it was a conspiracy. Turning a political convention into WWE doesn't seem to me to bode well. Q-Anon tie-ins with implicit threats of political violence are both stupid and grim, not something to snicker about. What's next, Rwanda or Bosnia footage? We have serious problems on both sides in our political and media system. Can you still see that?
ОтветитьThe thing I observe about them is that they think the government is so evil, and Trump promises some kind of disruption, and this immediately allows them to excuse Trump’s many faults. Maybe there are 2 kinds of Trump supporters, one is ok with the hypocritical view that government is evil and oppressive and needs to be abolished, unless that government forces their view onto the country at large, and internationally, then a big powerful government is suddenly a great concept. The other kind of trump supporter may not get behind every one of his policies, may even be able to express opinions of distaste for some of his actions or qualities, but is willing to use him as a government wrecking ball.
Somehow this allows them to minimize things about Trump that are almost objectively problematic to their main concern which is I guess the ethical behavior of a security state apparatus?
So you’re choosing him because you think he can dissemble the security state apparatus and democrats are wielding the power of the security state apparatus? Do I have this correct?
So you’re going to support someone who didn’t want to acknowledge the results of a fair election and tried to get fake certificates submitted to Congress to muddle the smooth transition of power, a hallmark of our democratic institution? Why because he rails against the government he wants to lead? Because he might potentially dissemble the security state apparatus?
Trump is either going to annihilate or more responsibly wield the security state authority more fairly or effectively? And this is the 100 percent most important issue facing the country. We need to take every other one of trumps policies just because he may be more against some deep state security apparatus? I don’t see the logic. Trump is a horrible person who leads a party with horrible concerns and preoccupations. I’m not going to support that just because he talks derogatorily about a deep state.
Lickspittle AND tool.
ОтветитьThe 2016 Democratic Primary rigging was the most significant milestone of the demise of the Democratic Party in the history of the party. It's not covered in the mainstream news for a reason, but it is still in the consciousness and subconsciousness of non-voting democrats and former democrats. You can bring sunlight to what really happened with a new reporting from the Twitter Files. THE TIME IS NOW MATT. What happened then matters today. It is as newsworthy as it could be. Step away from the guest spots, break out the file, fire up your laptop. It's time.
