An 80 year old truck mechanic said 70 years ago truckers equipment operators with any brain used rotella and 400 they used for starting fires at shop dirt cheap garbage oil
ОтветитьNon synthetic delo vs shell for trucks
ОтветитьHigh temperature to see what oil it evaporate faster.
ОтветитьThose eggs do that to me too lol. I pretty much choke for a bit.
ОтветитьDelo has a far lower pour point per the SDS. How do you explain that?
ОтветитьCould you please test Cen Pe Co?
ОтветитьNice which one is gd shell or delo
ОтветитьYou look like BEAKMAN 😁, and where is Lester?
ОтветитьDelo is some good stuff and it’s what I use in both my 7.3 IDI and my 7.8 Ford-New Holland. I used to use shell rotella but recently it seems like they have made some production changes in the base oil formula and has started causing issues. I don’t know the exact specifics of the changes, but allegedly they changed the base oil to be more “green” in their production methods, and owners on several diesel pages that I’m a part of have noted excessive oil burning in their rigs using the new production rotella T4. Given that T4 was a staple oil for nearly everyone on those pages, they claimed the difference in how much their engine burned off with the new stuff based on their prior use was significant. I marked it up to just happenstance until I noticed my 7.3 IDI was starting to burn it a lot more than normal as well. Usually I’m adding a quart every 800-1000 miles, and with the new T4 I was adding a quart every 200 or so miles. IDI’s normally burn oil more than most engines due to excessive ring gaps set at the factory, but a quart every 200-300 miles is absolutely out of the norm. I switched to delo and immediately the engine stopped burning oil as much. I’ll actually say it’s bumped up a little over the normal as I’m adding a quart every 1400-1500 miles now. Now, I understand this is really not a scientific way of measuring the differences, but it’s a large enough difference across enough users that I believe there’s some validity to the changes they made to T4 causing problems.
Ответитьcant wait for you to test amsoil & STP
ОтветитьCan you test the fleet farm oil as well as the Lucas oil against the rotella.
ОтветитьDon’t have to worry about that I live in Florida lol
ОтветитьWould you consider a Rotella T4,T5,T6 test/ comparison? From evaporation high temps to deep freeze, testing both new and used?
That would be epic
Appreciate all your videos!! Thank you
Compare shell to motorcraft, mobil, fram, castrol please
ОтветитьI like my delo and I luckily don't have to work if it's that cold because thick oil is the least of my concern at -58 and I do have a oil heater.
ОтветитьStarted off with using Delo 15w40, one day switched to rotella since it was cheaper but noticed my car had a slight leak, switched back and hasn't leaked from the pan since. (96 Maxima standard with 211,000 miles)
ОтветитьI'm more interested to see how the oils perform under real world operating conditions.
ОтветитьWhy dont ya try John deere plus50 2 vs amsoil
ОтветитьShell Rotella oil is too dirty straight out of jug! A comparison was done to new oil out of jug and oil ran thru a bypass filter and it was cleaner than oil out of jug
ОтветитьPlease anybody answer? Old diesel mechanics keep telling me that Delo 400 will gum up your engine. True or not?
ОтветитьTest against stp pro formula 15w40. I just tried it for the first time. No T6 available.
ОтветитьCould you do chevron supreme vs another popular brand like Mobil 1 or pennzoil
ОтветитьSo does this mean rotella is not good for high heat?
Ответить$17/gal when the video was posted. yoday, jun 12 '22, those same oils go for $27/gal here in SD.
ОтветитьI am really surprised at these results. I have used Delo 400 for years in all my Diesel engines . My friends are split down the middle with some using t4, but a lot more are using t4. One told me that Delo was junk oil and that it would varnish and gel in your oil pan after years of use . I wonder? Delo is more expensive than t4 now after the opposite being true for years.
ОтветитьWhich one of these and the mobil delvac would be the best option for my semi truck?
I have a detroit dd13 engine.
Please reply
Do 15W40 amsoil versus 15W40 hotshots
ОтветитьChevron Dello invthis test is a Synthetic; the Shell Rotella is a non synthetic
ОтветитьWould be awesome to see a rotela T4 vs T5 vs T6 comparison video
ОтветитьFair
Ответитьplease do T4 vs T5 vs T6
ОтветитьI just decided to try delo instead of my usual rotella and my 12.7 Detroit clearly luvs the delo btr. I was surprised 😮 i was a diehard rotella guy, not anymore...
ОтветитьThey're both great but i think delo is slightly btr from my experience 🤔
ОтветитьDelo is my 1st choice, rotella 2nd...
ОтветитьOk haven't done alot of mechanical work on vehicles so im taking it that rotella won or did it?! I thought that if it started flowing too start lubing things the better.
ОтветитьTry sinopec 15-40 vs all rotellas!
ОтветитьCan you do a high heat boil test on your oils too.
ОтветитьNo one would us 15W at minus 50c /15f .
Doubt engine would start anyhow.
Amsoil 15w40
ОтветитьWhere will you can find a temperature -33 F in continental US even in winter time???
ОтветитьThe Shell 🐚 is secretly 5w30
ОтветитьThe test means nothing to me as my oil will never get 50 below. The is only showing cold start up and which oil has more wax molecules in it that under extreme cold condense into crystals,
I want to see some heat break down test which oil keeps viscosity at extreme temperatures and which one protects from thermal breakdown at high temp. It’s pretty safe to say “that if it’s -50 I’m not cranking anything, I will be inside nice and warm lol” and even so that’s why you don’t cut it off, run baby run.
I do not agree with this test at all
ОтветитьAmazing
Ответить👍🇨🇦
ОтветитьThat same jug of Rotella is $44 Canadian where I live.
Sad
I still use it in my lifted, off road truck. I live where it actually does get to -50 degrees Celsius. So in winter I run 0w40 Rotella. And in winter and summer I always add a bottle of STP oil treatment.
Could be cool to see royal purple 15w40 vs rotella t4 15w40. And possibly hotshots secret 15w40 vs rotella t4 15w40
ОтветитьI put rotella in everything.I even put it on my pancakes lol.
ОтветитьCompare rotella to delvac.
Ответить
