An Indian friend of mine once said, "I'm pleased that the British unified India into one nation - and I'm even more pleased that they left."

Fair.

Goes on to show that we never learn from our history.. The British were the culprit behind every major issue and divide in this world.. be it the creation of Israel or dividing Indians..and now our politicians continue with the same divide and rule policy and we call that "Chai Wallah" a Vishwa Guru 😂

Lets assume they just spinned off Burma .....and no partition...

You will have a nation with 1175 Million Hindus , 650 Million Muslims , 40 Million Christians / Budhhists.etc

Utter Chaos.

India is a construct of the British Empire. There were several different empires, kingdoms, sultanates, and tribes/nations before the British showed up.

PARTITION
Unbiased at least he was when he arrived on his mission,
Having never set eyes on this land he was called to partition
Between two peoples fanatically at odds,
With their different diets and incompatible gods.

'Time,' they had briefed him in London, 'is short. It's too late
For mutual reconciliation or rational debate:
The only solution now lies in separation.

The Viceroy thinks, as you will see from his letter,
That the less you are seen in his company the better,
So we've arranged to provide you with other accommodation.
We can give you four judges, two Moslem and two Hindu,
To consult with, but the final decision must rest with you.'

Shut up in a lonely mansion, with police night and day
Patrolling the gardens to keep assassins away,
He got down to work, to the task of settling the fate
Of millions. The maps at his disposal were out of date

And the Census Returns almost certainly incorrect,
But there was no time to check them, no time to inspect
Contested areas. The weather was frightfully hot,
And a bout of dysentery kept him constantly on the trot,
But in seven weeks it was done, the frontiers decided,
A continent for better or worse divided.

The next day he sailed for England, where he quickly forgot
The case, as a good lawyer must.
Return he would not,
Afraid, as he told his Club, that he might get shot.

W.H. Auden

There is a timeline where if the British didn't use the divide on conquer on the Congress and Muslim league. Congress was actually more a collection of Hindus and Muslims India could have really become becon of light for the world. Gandhis vision could have made a reality. It was rushed ill thought out.

in 0:3 the map you are showing is not ancient india, it is the map of modarn day republic of "india" created by britishers in 1947, it is made up on gangetic and dravidian civilization, but some kindergarten failed indian politicians in 1947 thought to name india to a country that has nothing to do with indus valley civilization, the ancient india aka indus valley is located in Modern day Pakistan, there is a region called india in Pakistan, known in the local language as sindh

Because the religious looneys in the population saw it as an excuse to slaughter their neighbours in other religious sects.. The same sentiments still exist to this day 80 years later.

Churchill losing the election in 1945 was not surprising at the time, the British public were incredible war weary but he kept pushing the Pacific theatre.

Labour's policies of an NHS, better housing, and job opportunities were also a lot more popular (especially with demobilised soldiers), than Churchill trying for a status quo antebellum.

India was a never a country. Religion was common in this peninsula but not ethnicity.
I wish we Tamils never joined India with these cowbelt. We were the first the oppose British and the furst women to rule over autonomous after the invasion was also a Tamil Queen. Yet our history has been thrown im dudt by invading Telugus who are looting my people for more than 800 years till now in the name of poltical parties.
Evedyday is a sickening and headache. Plus we are tirrd of the fascists and thrit lame policies against individual ethnic groups and religious minorities.

Where is the flag of England?
Go north, south, east or west
Wherever's there's wealth to plunder
Or land to be possessed!
Wherever there's feeble races
To frighten, coerce or scare
Oh, you'll find a butcher's apron
The English flag is there

The narcssists made their weapons from pigs and cows grease

They seem to have known what they were doing

They got a revolt just like they got many revolts around the world because of similar silly games

The narcissists are now playing that same game in the Uk

It’s true. Narcissists are not capable of learning

God tells us that even if they were to be released from hell, they would go back to doing the same
