I’m with you, Buzz… I don’t get into the analytics. I’m grateful for the videos that take off, but I want to stay grounded and only do the videos that I want to do when I want to do them.!!!

I mostly watch budgeting videos so all this numbers stuff is so, so interesting to me. Thanks for sharing your info!

I've heard that musicians that are songwriters keep a pad of paper on their nightstand, on their coffee table, in their pocket, etc., so they can write down the ideas that pop through their heads unexpectedly, so they aren't forgotten. They also admit that they are often surprised by what is comercially successful and what isn't. I saw Randy Bachman in concert this last year and he said that he wrote "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" as a joke, to tease a stuttering brother he hadn't seen in a while. The guy from the record company thought it would sell and it did. Randy said "That's when I realized that I know NOTHING about the music business". I guess that I'm saying that you should keep an open mind as to what subjects might draw people to watch your videos and don't be afraid to put stuff out there, like your video about friends during retirement.
