The same exact thing happened to me on my Fold 6. I just hit you up on Twitter because I had to show you.. it's wild. I'm still waiting for uBreakiFix to get the parts. I think I'm going to call Samsung back in the morning for a new replacement. Smh
ОтветитьMan I must be lucky af. I've had my Pixel 9 pro fold since it launched and have had not one single problem. Happy to hear they sent you the replacement asap. Though think what Google needs to do is build more physical locations so we can actually go and speak to real people.

ОтветитьMan, unfortunately I hear about a lot of this with folds. I know they happen to slab phones as well but seems like not as often. Seems like every other post on Reddit is a pixel fold problem. I want one but still trying to wait until they make them a little better. I'm afraid to buy one and it go out on me.
I have used nothing but slabs for about 15 years and never had a problem. These folds make me nervous. I want the magic v3 as well, but if that breaks it's definitely a wrap lol.
Guess I'll wait it out a little longer.

ОтветитьEven tho samsung get a lot of slack for its lack of innovation and with other competition in the mix. I'm glad i stuck with the Z series. I've never had any issues with my phones, and if i did, i know samsung would have it covered.

ОтветитьI had the same thing on my original Pixel Fold blue lines contacted they sent back a replacement but it wouldn't charge pass 70 percent reset then they sent me to I Fix it they said the motherboard was bad after 2 days called them back after 2 weeks got another replacement which seems brand new never opened. I'm happy now I love my Pixel Fold. My my Z Fold 3 stays on the shelf.

ОтветитьIf it's the store I think it is, they said they didn't have the parts for my zflip6 as well. Same situation I ended up having to send my device in to have it replaced after going into a shop for repair. In general foldable are super durable. My wife drops her zflip3 constantly and that poor thing is still going.

ОтветитьI always go for the replacement. It's always a brand new unit and takes like 1 business day to arrive. I had the same situation with my Pixel 8 Pro with a dead pixel

ОтветитьI had that bleeding thing going on on my Pixel 6 Pro about almost a year in. Got it repaired through their partner repair shops. Probably the fastest way just to keep all the progress on your phone. Went to the same spot for my Pixel 8 Pro for my screen not turning on at all but still making all the noise. Luckily it was still under warranty and then I traded that in for my Pixel 9 Pro. Little issues like this did not change my mind on the progress of the direction Google is going with Pixel phones.

ОтветитьThat’s the kind of experience that you want to get. My sister didn’t have such a good experience when she had her Pixel 6 Pro. She had it replaced 3 times and still had issues. I’m so glad I convinced her to trade it in and get the Pixel 9 Pro. They have her enough for her 6 Pro where she got the 9 Pro XL for $450. She had the Pixel Watch 2, as well. She loves her Pixel devices. Your experience sounds very much like the experience I’ve had with Apple when I’ve had issues. Glad it didn’t take weeks like I’ve see Samsung users experience. It sounds like Google is on top of it with their customer support. I’m considering getting a Pixel again. I have a Pixel 6 that my son uses to watch videos and play games at home. The Pixel 10 series might be when I grab one.

ОтветитьI went to a repair shop in Canada on Dec 17th, and they had just received the parts and tools for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. However, they still needed to train the staff.
ОтветитьMy experience with Pixels includes many failures but I have to say that Google have great customer service and sorted these for me. But QC is for sure an issue compared to owning ten iPhones and none of them had any problems. Mine include, dead pixels, and the FP scanner stopped working. All in the last 2-3 years.

ОтветитьOoophhh I'm glad you were able to get that replacement even though it took a little while and overall, I'm happy to hear Google has pretty decent support. Like you said, any device can get dead pixels. I had some on my iPhone SE, iPhone XR, and iPad Pro 2018. Never really had one on my Samsung S23 Ultra or thankfully my Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but it makes me feel confident that I can contact Google Support for some help just in case.
