ОтветитьI knew a couple this goopy when we were all young newlyweds.
ОтветитьI like this version way better than the Allie McGraw version.
ОтветитьIn typical Hollywood fashion, not being Anglo-Saxon is equated with being "from the wrong side of the tracks". In another movie worth spoofing, Spencer Tracy has a baby with Lana Turner who's "from the wrong side of the tracks", and as in Love Story, the inferior breed has to kick the bucket! Lana's baby dies, after Spencer gets his chance at impressing us with his virility in middle age! Unintentionally funny. In Lady of the Tropics - I wish Carol had spoofed it too - Hedy Lamar is a mixed race Asian-European. I think she ends up committing suicide, because she belongs nowhere, neither in Asia nor in Europe! In yet another "wrong side of the tracks" romance, Robert Taylor plays an Indian chief in love with Ava Gardner. He too dies to pay for his sin, romancing an Anglo. So many dramas are unintentionally hilarious. Thanks be to parodists like Carol Burnett and Kent Skov.
ОтветитьCarol and her cockroach thin legs…lol
That’s what I think of when I see her as that Portnoy girl
"Love means never having to say you're sorry."
"That's the dumbest thing I ever heard"
(Famous lines from an old movie)
I remember watching this sketch when it first aired, and it was one of the first times that I laughed so hard I actually teared-up (the first time I experienced "I laughed so hard that I cried!") Brilliant parody, writing and acting.
ОтветитьVery talented people. Loved this show.
ОтветитьI loved this so much. Seeing it in 2023, 50+ years after the original movie (1970) evoked so many memories! Carol & Harvey were splendid together. 😂
ОтветитьI like the skit better than the movie.
ОтветитьWho's the guy who played Oliver's father? He looks familiar.
ОтветитьI love Harvey Korman when he's not just being Tim's straight man.
Ответить"Which one of you is Oliver?" Top class comedy writing!
ОтветитьLove means never having to say you're sorry. Who can forget that?
ОтветитьI just adore Harvey Korman❤
ОтветитьThe Greatest of Comedy shows.
ОтветитьThe very best of the best! Have seen this many times and still laugh !
ОтветитьThis should be as well known as the "Gone with the Wind" sketch. Absolutely hilarious. 😂 Well done. 👏👏👏
ОтветитьСовершенно не интересный посредственный фильм якобы про любовь.
Зато пародия на высоте.
When did this air, what episode was it, and who whas the guest star playing the part of the father?
ОтветитьOK, for the life of me, not even IMDB could id who playsa the father in this skit: can anyone come up with the goods onn him? Obviouslyb a veteran, and the voice is more familiar than the face....
