Crash 4's Platinum Trophy Was PURE PAIN!

pats you on the back I’m sorry for your pain. As soon as I saw this video I got flashbacks to when Caddy 100% this.

I enjoyed this game so much I platinumed it on PS4 and then did it again when the PS5 came out. I'll tell you that the platinum used to be way way harder. The levels with the bear were nearly impossible to get all the boxes on because of the way the hit boxes worked. They now always destroy all the crates but when there were 4 boxes stacked together you had to hit it absolutely perfectly to get all 4 of the boxes

When i saw that crash 4 released i immediately got the game and eventually attempted the platnuim and it took me back to my childhood

i avoided eveything to do with crash 4 news and videos and waited for this game to come to steam so i could have the perfect game ( steam equivalent to a platinum trophy) next to my n.sane trilogy perfect on my steam profile and i went in to this game blind ........ boy was i not ready ..... took me 80 hours but i got my perfect

I got the Platinum for this - and watching this video brought back how much frustration and tears I had going for it! Never again. Still doesn't take away how much I loved this game.

I liked Crash 4 better than Mario Wonder.

Im surprised you didn't have trouble with the bear level i remember trying to get the perfect relic on that level and just keept dying constantly was aids as.

Game is not difficult but annoying, a design of the levels.
I had no problems beating 1, 2 and 3 at 100% or 105%, all platinum times in n.sane trilogy etc.
This game is just annoying.
Levels are designed to fail, not to be hard.
In any other Crash, in each level you had like 10 or 15 opportunities to fail, so you have to try again. In crash 4, checkpoints are that far away of each other, that there is 50 opportunities to fail, plus rng on moving objects makes it all not challanging but annoying.
Why not make levels without one single checkpoint and call it "difficult"?
I jave achieved great things in some games, but this one i didnt even bother, after playing it for 40 minutes.

Seems very bring to just follow guides in order to complete a game... There's hints for all the colored gems in the levels, for example.

The N.Sane trilogy and 4 are on my agenda to plat so your video is very informative.

As for toughest plat - I did Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It took me about a month and 230H to 100% (if only the minigames were the hardest part QvQ).
By far the toughest of the ones I've done which were for the most part indies and rhythm games haha
