Good video ...my problem is I have a hard enough time eating the 140 grams of good quality protein each day trying to gain more muscle and then trying to push down 140 grams of Carbs . I'm not a bigger eater naturally
ОтветитьA 1:1 protein to carb ratio would mean that your fat intake would be very high. Right?
ОтветитьInteresting and informative.
ОтветитьI can't thank you enough for talking transparently about everything; you're really helping me on my road to recovery <33
ОтветитьHave you ever been to Nigeria
ОтветитьWish she would talk to the camera. Why is she reading everything?
ОтветитьThis is how I lost 70 pounds; equal protein and carbohydrate and of course, cardio with strength training
ОтветитьWhat about yams and sweet potatoes?
ОтветитьHelp. Are you talking about 1 gram per pound of IDEAL body weight? Dr said ideal just once then kept saying body weight.
I’m 230lbs but want to strip off 30lb of fat.
So do I eat 230 grams of protein or 200 grams?
Thank you!
ОтветитьThere is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. Humans don’t need fiber FACT. Just eat meat , eggs , butter ,water ,salt. Makes life much easier , simple. And it is not more expensive. Especially if you calculate out the nutritional benefits over vegetables. Humans process very little from vegetables. We use 98% of meat.
ОтветитьMajority of fat from pufa? What kind of foods have polyunsaturated fat? Not any good ones
ОтветитьYou need fruits and vegetables to decrease estrogen in women
ОтветитьIn other interviews you've been on, Dr. Lyon, your recommendation for body recomp was .8-1.6 per KILO of bodyweight to come up with daily protein goal. In this post, you're calculation is .8-1 per POUND of "ideal weight". Could you clarify? Those 2 formulae come up with very different numbers! Under which circumstances do you use which formula?
ОтветитьGood Meat n eggyolks, sardines in water, butter 🧈
200g protein daily n gallon water
This was simple and very helpful.
ОтветитьIs she pro-keto?
ОтветитьWhats the name of this full episode
ОтветитьI want to see video of Dr G working out
ОтветитьThat means I need to eat 220 grams of protein a day! Darn! That’s a lot!
ОтветитьScience proves that all plants contain toxic chemicals that plants use to defend themselves! 🥩🥚🥓🍗🍖🧀🦀🦞🦐🍶 For the win. And calories are a measurement of heat in the science of physics, and have nothing to do with nutrition.
ОтветитьHi! My question is ..does meat really raise cholesterol? I,ve been trying to lower my chloesterol and don,t want to go on meds...I have been eating healthy..oatmeat,beans,lentils,veggies, and fruits,ect..I eat some meat but some experts say sources from meat should be low...
ОтветитьCan somebody tell me if the amount of carbs dr. Lyon saying is 'NET' carb?
ОтветитьIs that net carb or just carb?
ОтветитьWhen you talk about protein, are you referring exclusively to animal protein or are you also including protein from ALL plant sources (e.g., non-starchy veggies) in your protein total? If you covered this in the video, I must have missed and wouldyou please point in the right direction.
ОтветитьEating a high protein diet has been life-changing for me but I think you are way to enamoured with carbs. Referring to the RDA as if it is based on any good science is a faulty assumption.
ОтветитьThe internet : “Every food is bad. Also in breaking news every food is good”
ОтветитьHello! I've been trying to increase my protein intake. Now, my conventional doctor says I have too much protein in my blood (and excess Potassium and creatinine and calcium!) and that I'll get cancer if those numbers don't go down. Currently on a juice fast (so far, lost 10lbs in 9 days). I'm 65 yo, very athletic female, 5'4'', currently 140 and fasting (again!) to get to 133. My kidneys & liver function (tests) are normal. I stopped all my supplements (used to take creatine & protein powders!). Your thoughts? After my next test in a few weeks, I'll reach out to a local functional doc unless you can help? I'd love phone coaching & will to pay, of course!!
ОтветитьAdvising to get your fats from PUFAs is insane!
ОтветитьGlad you push carbs. ❤
ОтветитьDid she say tbe fat in meat is monounsaturated?
ОтветитьWhile I appreciate someone that encourages physical wellness linearly throughout life. Dr Gabrielle Lyon is a pro protein 👍 but also pro Carnivore diet ( Yikes) protein overload. Being healthy having healthy cells requires protein 1.2 to 1.6 grams to lean mass kg. Excess isnt good or at least one would say is not good. Healthy balance diet of clean foods balanced macros filled with micronutrients and fiber is over all critical. Remember how you thrive emotionally and ways that compliment lifestyle choices , not breaking yourbudget by implimenting realistic nit phony NY Hollywood plasticity mitigates real health and there are plenty of nutrition realists NASM coaching , Dr Layne Norton My Protein Michelle Roots SilverEdge Podcast Thomas DeLauerClean and Delicious the list goes on combine sound nutrition that compliments advice from a compassionate and knowledgeable stand point . so please dont be intimated by all or nothing thinking . yes paying attention to your health through diet, exercise, lifestyle sleep , social support prayer or meditation etc are all parts of total wellness . so dont thini that you need to eat excessive high protein , x out carbs , but yiu should eat healthy carbs, good fats yiu tuned in so you are cognizantto what is deemed healthy. Metabolic hormonal health is based on many things and being scared to not get 1 gram per body weight is the only way to be healthy or Forever Strong simply isnt correct. And its okay to eat foods yiu enjoy in moderation it wont derail you if you overall 80 percent or more strive to eat right and eat to fuel your body through dietary needs that is what will help yiu to strive. I am sorry that a young female Dr in trainibg went into geriatrics and got frightened it is real but sympathyemotional empathy positivity goes a long way to live a happy life rather than doing all yiu can with diet , exercise and miss out on other things that are relavent to help make such a person happy or truly anyone. In the end God is always there as is prayer love and compassion❤
ОтветитьEveryone should be exercising. What the exercise and safety restictrition is important . but even basic bw chair exercises and gradually increasing upon tolerance is acheivable given youwork atpace range of motion. Coupled with healthy eating and adequate sufficient protein to build DNA helpmitochondria.Dr Lyon is pro and super knowledgeable but at least havea base that supports your body In a positive sustainable way.
Ответить1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight like the mind pump guys have said 4 years
ОтветитьMy body is not suited to meat. Oh, I melt with desire and salivate when I smell a rib eye on the grill. I love meat. But meat does not like me. When I listen to my body I want meat 2 or 3 times a year. I eat any meat and I feel heavy, and sluggish. What for that?
ОтветитьWhat about cholesterol if you are eating animal protein 2-3 times a day.
ОтветитьSo happy beef, darkest chocolate, kimchi & avocado?
This really does make things simpler lol

What about carbs with pre diabetes ?
ОтветитьMy understanding was that for protein it is recommended to eat minimum 1 g per KG of weight, not lbs - that’s European recommendation. Why go or Americans it is almost twice more than for a European?
ОтветитьI was told its 1g of protein per kg of weight not per pound. This leaves me confused to which one it is.
ОтветитьPlease help me. I cant tolerate too much fat because of liver, gallbladder issues. So i cant upper my consumption of fats but without the fats i cant get enough calories in, without spiking my blood sugar too much. Im underweight (1,76cm, 52kg) and cant gain weight like that. Any tips?
ОтветитьDifferent sources of protein are absorbed differently. So if you eat so many grams of protein you in no way utilize all of it. Only so much gets absorbed and you are left with a net amount. Eggs are around 48% absorbtion while meat is around 32%. All this too is dependent on each individual's ability to absorb what they eat. So if I eat 240 grams of protein knowing Im only going to absorb half of it, then I would need to eat 480 grams to meet the 1g/per pound of body weight since I weigh about 240 lbs. I dont know how well carbs absorb but this too would have to be considered to meet the ratio you say is best. Do you consider absorbtion rates in these formulas?
ОтветитьI’m 1.69 and 60kg. If I want to lose weight, how much protein should I eat per day? I want to be 56-57. Is there anyone that can help me? 😊
