7-10 next year and the city will be calling for BJ’s head. Not drinking the Kool Aid. Unproven HC+tough schedule +needs to lead a locker room not just develop CW = 7-10.

Ben Johnson never was my top choice. He wasn't even my 2nd choice. I wanted Mike Vrabel. When he went to the Pats, I then wanted Mike McCarthy. I wanted a HC that had experience, and a track record with success. I'm not doubting his capability, everyone is capable at first, but I wanted someone with HC experience. Instead, we got an OC that's never been a HC before. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I don't like or dislike the hire, I just hope they landed a real head coach, don't want to hear about great practices, want to see, a real football team on Sunday firing on all three phases, and not a bad high school team on the field!

David, you no longer want them to sell the team?

Keeping Thomas Brown as Pass Game Coordinator and using OC to get an Elite OL coach imo is the way. Dennis Allen is a Great DC, Very similar to Dan Quinn's Defense.

I love the hire! The fact that Ben didn’t take a job last cycle and stayed with the Lions shows he wasn’t ready and needed to grow more. Everyone saw that this season. I feel Campbell has taught him the ins and outs and prepared him to be the Alpha as the coach! Looking forward to the future!!!

Bears for once acted like a big market team and shopped at the top shelf. Not only does his play calling bring in creativity to our offense and catapults this team into the modern century but also can tie the coach and quarterback together to allow them grow together considering Ben is 38. For once, the Bears went out and behaved like a big market team and made a coaching hire that everyone can agree makes sense

All I have to say about Ben Johnson is look what he did to it cast out quarterback in golf, major what he will do with a far more superior, talented, young quarterback, who’s been through hell two head coaches, multiple officer, coordinators man. I’m just so freaking happy still a lot of work left, but I am ecstatic BEAR DOWN !!!

Good hire. That's the best I have after the mediocrity in 2024 changed me and makes me say "Show me" (like our neighbors in Missouri say) to Ryan Poles on filling the gaps in the team.

I like it, win or lose. Of course I want it to work, but it really shows me that the days of "tossing nickels around like they were man-hole covers" have come to an end. Ownership wants to win, and knows winning doesn't come cheap.

Nice to see Kapp is recovering from the Johnson hiring. Saw an earlier podcast where he as not very happy about it.
And, we got the offensive minded coach that I wanted.

Great hire by the bears I'm not jumping on any bandwagon just yet let's see what he can do. If he makes the playoffs his first year then I believe we made the right choice

I love Ben Johnson to the bears. He will help Caleb improve and teach him to fix mistakes he was making last year. I honestly think Caleb will throw for 4,000 yds and 30 TDS next year with Johnson at the helm
