Alabama Music Office.com goes to WorkPlay in Birmingham, Alabama to attend a performance by Charlie Muncaster Music with Gary Stanton.
The Charlie Muncaster Band is a collaboration built on a mutual love of southern rock and country music. Founded by Mobile native, Charlie Muncaster, the band began playing together in March of 2012. Charlie Muncaster, guitar and lead vocalist, began playing local gigs and talent shows at the age of 14. He moved to Auburn to attend college and continue pursuing his musical passion. No stranger to hard work, Muncaster balanced school with creating a name for himself in the local music scene. After gaining a solo reputation and opening for acts like Tyler Reeve, Rhett Atkins, and Blackberry Smoke, Muncaster decided to expand his sound and add band members. He met fellow artists Blake Thames, lead guitar, Keith Edwards, bass and vocals, and Chase O’Mary, drums, and the four decided to merge together. After becoming a band, the group quickly began booking shows around Alabama. The four share a love of soul, southern rock, country, and blues, and merge them all into a high powered show!
