Really enjoyable and informative video, thanks :)
ОтветитьAs always an enjoyable and informative video.
Side steps I wouldn't have one without. I have them on my 2010 RR Sport.
Tyres I've had the Iota Tyres found them good but noisy, recently changed to the General Grabber GT+ Tyres (275x40x20) and they are quieter if a little crashy, but after 1k miles I'm happy with them cheaper than the Pirelli's.
You're right regarding maintenance keep on top of them and they will be great. Ref Gearbox & Diff Servicing, I had my Gearbox "mega flushed" at 120k along with Front & Rear Diffs and Transfer Box. I Use the Ravenol Brand of Oils and I also us the PAS/ACE Fluid their engine oil is great but pricey.
Keep up the good work
Another really helpful video and interesting to hear about the Scorpion tyres, I’ve had the Verdes on my current and previous XC70s, without any problems, but then they are much lighter.
Nice to see you have some L322s that aren’t black! Black cars look lovely when clean, but I’m too lazy to constantly wash my cars.
For me, wheels have to be silver (but then I’m 50 and an old and miserable 50 at that!). Another colour wheel probably wouldn’t stop me buying one, if everything else was perfect as used Range Rover wheels are readily available and I’d just change them.
Really nice to see the preparation you do, certainly gives some peace of mind.
My 2011 gearbox has had two oil changes in its 130K life. One at 80 and second at 120. Transfer box, diffs, every fluid changed including PAS.
I run General Grabber AT3 in 255 55 20. Superb 😎
Side steps are 🤮😂
ОтветитьLovely vehicles in stock as always.. Very informative.. 👍
ОтветитьNice video, Side steps are a must!
ОтветитьMy dream and only car. No sidesteps, please! Baltic Blue or Gunmetal Grey, silver wheels. Nice video as always, James.
ОтветитьHi. Your website with your RR adverties is no more working ?
Where can I found your actual stock ?
I am interested by one you showed few weeks ago on videos 😊
Greetings,
Julien.
Grey x Grey looks good. It’s not tooooo much and they can’t all look too traditional or you wouldn’t appreciate the ones that really do. 😅 would be good to keep them all
ОтветитьTotally agree about the wheels, silver only anything else looks like you can’t be bothered to clean your wheels hate grey and black even worse
ОтветитьI HATE ……the sidesteps….with a Passion !!! 😂
ОтветитьCame into this wandering what you were going to say about tyres, and left with a big smile as I’m running grabber at3s 😊.
ОтветитьStay with the gunmetal coloured wheels. It suits the car.
ОтветитьAs you’re trading I’d say keep the gun metal grey and side steps. But for my personal L322 it silver wheels and deployable sides steps all the way…. Especially with a Baltic blue finish which mine is.
ОтветитьBTW : when you put the L322 on the ramps do you use low ratio ? I’m concerned about running off the ramp end or for plastic ramps, having the car rip them along the ground and break them as happened to me with a Honda civic believe it or not.
ОтветитьI run mine with Nexens and side steps; a perfect combo! Lol! Seriously, some very good points around tyres etc, anecdotal evidence is very compelling! Very logic approach from the ‘4 different tyre’ owner, I can appreciate the rationale, although Matt from High Peak Autos would probably get pulputation’s! Lol! Great content, keep up the good work.
ОтветитьThe gearbox is not sealed for life! It is in the Maintenance schedule (or for my MY12 it was) can’t remember the exact parameters but 10yrs/90k rings a bell.
I found the same with front diff also, oil was noticeably poor compared with the rear
I’ve just fitted BF Goodrich Trail Terrain - which like the General AT3 are a great compromise all-terrain tyre. Haven’t really noticed much, if any, impact on fuel economy and very stable and comfortable on tarmac. Not yet had a chance to use them off road.
ОтветитьMy struggle with tires is that I want to run an AT tire but can’t find one with a high enough Speed Rating. Maybe it I’d just my area, but to get them installed they have to meet a minimum speed rating. Anyone else have this issue or know a way around that? Continental makes a good street tire for the L322.
ОтветитьReally enjoyable and informative video!!!
ОтветитьHow often would one expect to see a check engine light or other dash lights when owning one of these? Would it be possible to go a full year without seeing one?
ОтветитьThank you for your video, really interesting and enjoyed watching. I noticed the car on Ramps possibly has electronic side steps? Interested in your view regarding these, I have a autobiography 59 plate and one side is not working. I believe you have to strip them down clean and relubricate to make sure they're working correctly? Also, would be great to see the control arms being changed if you have the chance to show a video of the same. Just started following you. Thanks for doing the videos that you have so far
ОтветитьWill the General grabbers fit in the spare wheel well ?
ОтветитьWhat are your views on gearbox flush and which engine oil do you use.Great video's and nice motors 👍
ОтветитьI've fitted Cooper AT 3, to my 2012 L322 4.4Tdv8 and they drive fantastically on and off road.
ОтветитьSide steps: some people find it very hard to enter and exit the L322 and couldn't do it without the side steps.
ОтветитьHi FF, after looking for these tires i can only find 255.50.r20 from Halfords, there you fitting these to a 20inch alloy?
ОтветитьHi I’ve just come across ur channel and looking for some info regarding the Vogue 3.6 tdv8 2009 does it suffer crank cracking or breaks problems and oil pump fractures on the casing . Any info would be great . Ps looking forward to catching up with ur channel.
