Ответить-Where are those fresh graduate jobs? --> Filled by AI and low cost countries
-What are the possible solutions to overcome these challenges?
1.Start making connections, get Co-op / internships as early as post high school graduation.
2.Write a career plan, change strategies as you -progress according what the job market need in the next 3-5 years, then execute it step-by-step.
3.Have a friend / family members to hold you you accountable to execute the career plan.
4.Pick up a blue-collar hard skills which you are interested to pursue (Ex. Welder, Plumber, Electrician etc...)
5.If you aim for white-collar jobs, develop a professional hard skills which are on high-demand in the industry you are pursuing.
-Which industries shall the fresh graduates look at? Industries which can't be easily outsourced to other countries (Ex. Government jobs, Aerospace etc...)
Hope these tips help the recent fresh grad, good luck :)
Are you trying to imply an unemployment rate of 5.8% is a crisis?! 🙄 When I graduated in the early 90s it was 7.4%! The US is at nearly an historic low for unemployment at 4.2%. This not the Great Recession or any recession nor the Covid pandemic. Social media like this just contributes to disinformation in order to get views. This is fake news! 🤣
ОтветитьCome on!! Google expanded their India headquater. The US coders are just way too expensive!
ОтветитьThe banner says "THOUGHT"
ОтветитьPeople who studied in heavy machinery maintenance don't have a shortage of work.
Also, a lot of IT companies over hired for different reasons over the years, now time aren't ap good and people get laid off.
From where I stand AI doesn't help, if it wasn't for it the team I work in would be a bit bigger at this time... But the automatic scripting and other facilities made some junior positions redundant.
Most graduates seem to be facing the same problem.
ОтветитьIs a global problem
ОтветитьThis is what happens when you let old racist conservative white people determine who leads your country. Many sat home and didnt vote. Lazy and now paying for it. Good luck with that
ОтветитьLearning Everyday, debugging 12 hours straight and having health issues, isn't worth it for this ruthless field. 💔
ОтветитьTrumpenomics
ОтветитьLooks like some AI made video taking random bits of info without any logic
ОтветитьYou have to really like what you are doing in the IT field. And I will bet that those 60% who not find a job was because they joined the IP hype of 6 figure salary for a to-do app and a bit if JS understanding. Sorry this field pays a lot, but also requires a lot, and being update every month on the trendings
ОтветитьI just graduated with a CS degree and applied to over 80 “entry-level” jobs over the past 3 months. I got 4 responses, all of which were saying I didn’t get the job. I’m a server now at a restaurant until I can find work. Never thought I would be working in food again. 😂
ОтветитьThought? Job market? THOUGHT? Are you just an AI ripping off WSJ?
ОтветитьAm I the only one who thinks it’s messed up and nonsense that the people you need to design and build your society are unemployed?
ОтветитьThe problem with this is CS grads the past four years have assumed “Entry Level Developer” was always the norm. It never was. Most companies never bothered with fresh CS grads for developer positions. They bring them in from roles that are adjacent in experience such as consulting, security and professional services having demonstrated coding ability in an interview . All these CS majors want their 6 figure job and their Tesla today. But the was the never norm outside of big tech. You still have to start in 60-80k range and work your way up. This was always the case. Most Developers including myself started this way.
ОтветитьStudents spend 4 years in college learning something that is hardly in use in the job market. Secondly, companies have access to talent with years of experience who are willing to work at an entry level salary.
ОтветитьNot sure what student loans has to do with Job outlook. But hey Trump bad therefore Elon Musk..
ОтветитьThere's going to be $3 trillion of economic stimulus tho.
ОтветитьIT wage growth was nearly half of the national average in 2024 intimating there are too many people in the sector now.
There's something wrong with the labor market if for a whole year the wage growth is shrinking but BLS continues to report the sector is growing faster than average.
Indicates there needs to be reset in IT job sector, something aint right.
Try abroad
ОтветитьWhy we still hire students from other country and give them working visa H1?
ОтветитьThis same video has been made every year since 2022
ОтветитьBecause there are higher demands and less opportunities
ОтветитьThis channel is obsessed with fear mongering with bad data. We have had higher than normal interest rates with a lagging economy it’s just a recession without saying it.
ОтветитьWorking really hard and believing will get you rewarded with putting fries in the bag.
ОтветитьSo....if all our manufacturing jobs go to China....and all our knowledge jobs go to India..... ????? 🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьIf people can’t see the resemblance of this job market being similar to what millennials graduated into, then the same mistakes will be made. Millennials along with Gen X tried to start changing the system to make it work better for Gen Z graduates but no one wanted sustainable long term solutions, only short term bandaid ideas that solved nothing.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьPivot to other streams , if you remain stuck to one tech stack you job prospectives are bleak.
ОтветитьNot too long ago all politicians told kids to get into STEM fields. They said that is where the future jobs are. And then they allowed outsourcing and H1-B visas. Big corporations are still crying America doesn't have enough technical talents. I don't know Americans should be angry or should go for these folks in Congress. Being born here now is a curse. Send money to other countries. Give illegals all free stuff. Is this still our country? Why would Americans die for the country? It is not our country any more. It belongs to the oligarchs. Why would I die to protect your property?
ОтветитьPlenty of jobs are available for Indians techies and engineers throughout the world as India is IT super power and software super power and so world cannot survive without Indian IT professionals and techies .
ОтветитьIt's been decreasing for a while now.
ОтветитьSalesforce CEO-Not hiring engineers in 2025 because of AI
Reality-Salesforce applied for 400+ H-1b (so far) visas in Q1 of 2025
META-4000+ H-1b visas 2024, 1600+ (so far) Q1 of 2025
Both companies built huge R&D centers in India
H-1b is mostly being used to bring over mediocre liaison engineers to facilitate the removal of jobs to India
Just check out most tech company job boards, all the new tech job opening are in India
2024-US IT -3.0%
2024-Indian IT +8.4%
In India they call the H-1b visa the "Outsourcing" visa.
More than half the H-1b visas are used to destroy millions of jobs in the US.
In the UK so maybe it's different here but I haven't seen any shortage of tech job being advertised on linkedIn from both tech companies and non tech companies who want to hire tech workers , I have no degree but I'm studying web development , game development and computer chip design so I hope I can still find a job before the end of 2025.
Ответить"Learn to code" didn't age well.
Ответитьthis channel keeps creating the same propaganda video every very few weeks. suspicious…
ОтветитьWhen demand for skilled roles are high but low candidates, salary is high. When candidates are saturated, demand and salaries become low.
Ответитьlast few years hiring and layoffs were way worst than now, last two year I didn't get 1 interview, and now I am getting calls left and right. Far as new grads even when hiring was booming if someone was a new graduate and didn't have experience it would have been tough for them. As of now people that have internship experience that are new graduate aren't affected by any of this, they are still getting jobs and getting hired. It would be great to see what's the stats on new college grad with internships vs the ones without any. I would say if you like what you do don't let videos like these scare you, just get experience (even if it none paid internship is better than nothing)
ОтветитьGod is good... all the time! I graduated in 2016, started a M.S. in Computer Science that I couldn't afford and ran out out money. I got hired by a scam company and moved out to Denver. They laid me off and I was two days from being homeless. I got a job working construction and found a place to live. The day they made me permanent I dislocated my shoulder. I had to work like that because I didn't have a choice. Then Covid hit right when I was about to buy a car and they laid me off. But since I had saved money for the car I was able to survive. During Covid I got hired by a small IT company and then they got bought out by a Fortune 500 company. Now I have close to 5 years experience with technical support, working with hardware and an AI-based web application. I understand how networks work and what it takes to keep a network up. I also know what it means to handle customer support. And to work with Engineering to discover bugs in an application used by thousands of people every day. You never know how life works out, I think the key is to never give up.
ОтветитьMy advice. Go and pick up a blue collar skill. You are much safer that way.
ОтветитьNobody wants to work for free. Many employers put entry-level job needing five to ten years experience. Most college graduates leave college barely knowing anything in their field. Companies boost in profits and lower men power with AI. Colleges should focus on the core classes versus all those electives just to scoop up cash.
ОтветитьIt’s all because of outsourcing.
ОтветитьIsn’t just new grads that are having a difficult time finding jobs, it’s everyone. I have three STEM degrees, 28 years of tech experience and have been layed off for nine months. Trying to move into a non tech job that can’t be outsourced in my mid 50s.
ОтветитьThe job economy is coming to an end. We all need to become solopreneurs or entrepreneurs and start our own businesses leveraging AI and automation tooling… 😅
