Longboard vs Skateboard vs Cruiser

So basically any late 80s early 90s deck with 97A wheels and you are golden. Do not fix it if it is not broke.

I rock a normal skateboard deck with quarter inch risers, loose trucks, and longboard wheels. I call it the monster truck build. It's wheelbite hell if you take a corner too fast. I love it.

I have both long and cruiser boards. Make sense to add bigger wheels on smaller boards. 😎👍

Years ago a had the classical skateboard and man, it sucked taking it downtown for a ride. Now I have a cruiser and I'm so in love! I never did tricks so I'm so glad they became popular and I got one for the hype.

Man, I threw some soft wheels, I think 80s, on my double kick, and it transformed my commute in NYC.

I ditched it a year later for a fish with some nice height and big wheels ... I stopped getting thrown due to big cracks.

The riser pads are important because wheel bite is reallllll! Turning on a skateboard is meant to be done with the kicktail, not from purely leaning

I put longboard wheels and really big risers on my skateboard

I want a longboard that won't snap. But isn't in the shape of cruisers. A dancing board or something like that. 2 boards have been snapped in the past month and I'm fucking tired and pissed.

Risers aren't just for "cruising" they're mainly for preventing wheel bite with larger wheels, but also for preventing pressure cracks from ollieing from high ledges & stairs, & they help you ollie higher by increasing the angle of your pop. Soft wheels are way more than for just an "occasional ollie" I skate anywhere from 78A-93A because I skate a lot of very rough street spots & can pop all of my tricks fine. Only problem is below 90A they don't really powerslide well, so not great for skateparks. For me 86A-93A is best for park skating.

I loved my cruiser being able to cruise around w my buddies longboarding but also heing able to pop up and down curbs with the occasional trick

I have a 50$ budget not a lot but what would you recommend for a long board? I have just started and I am currently using a penny board and my feet don’t fit on it. So what would you recommend?

I got a cruiser to just ride to the store and to the gym with bc I have no interest in doing tricks and just wanted something convenient for when I didn't feel like driving but it was too far to walk
