Adrian Rogers: The Battle for Your Mind (2145)

I have health problems and it scares me sometimes, worrying what will happen if i get worse since we have no one physically here for us to help us, no children, family is distant, and no friends that would come to our aid. Its hard not to get discouraged and scared, even though i know God will somehow get me thru it.

I repent for my sins lord Jesus. Please forgive me a sinner. 😢

Though I was raised in the church and never had doubts in my beliefs I have spent the previous 19 years living shamelessly in sin whilst also being bound to countless addictions. Often times I would recognize myself living in this pattern of ups and downs but hey whatever the world taught me “that’s just life”. It was not until this “just life” I was living flipped a switch on me and for the first time I was cast to a downwards spiral. I spent countless sleepless nights in agony, loneliness and depression full of stress and sorrow. I was so used to just keeping all of my emotions buried because I had always preferred to be the friend that cares rather than the friend who needs to be taken care of, and that nasty habit lived on in me and I realized I had not one person nor vice to turn to. The realization made me sick and I would constantly be in a war with my own mind trying my best to not let things get too quiet to avoid hearing all of my suicidal thoughts. Though I was the furthest thing from alone and had countless friends and the love of my family at the tip of my fingers I could never find myself willing to turn to them. Whether it was due to pride or simply shame, I do not know but after being caught in over 3 straight years of living a life full of disgust constantly enduring countless hardships on my own I decided that God was the only answer. I started connecting with fellow believers for the first time, taking friends to church with me and meeting some life changing Christians, while also being blessed with the privilege to watch my friends grow in their own faith. Now when I open that bible I struggle not to break into tears with the realization that I am no longer just reading my bible but rather my bible is reading me. Now for any trouble that comes my way I know that I am in the hands and protection of the Lord and I know Jesus saved and I know he is alive I don’t need someone to prove that to me when I can feel him living within my heart. I went from craving nothing more than to reach the end of my life to feeling more alive than I have ever been and the blood of Jesus Christ is to blame. I have learned to appreciate every single moment because it a blessing every day that I am simply alive. No matter if I find myself surfing or drowning in the waves produced by life I know that Jesus is by my side. Yes I am free so free.

He didn't say that you need to ask for forgiveness of all your sins when asking Jesus into your heart as well as believe Jesus died and rose again on the third.

I am asking for prayer im struggling with cancer and mentally having harsh nights with my mind racing all night I need gods peace and grace

Gods word is powerful, speaking it aloud rebukes Satan and evil thoughts. Be careful of new age cults that teach meditation and eastern mysticism! The devil deceives through heavy evil music to destroy our youth!

Just a minute ago,before listening to this video.
Satan had corrupted my mind saying that God is not going to answer your prayer and I was so deeply troubled just in a moment thought of I'm too far for Jesus to come back to him again..
But luckily god helped me by making me understand how devil is attacking my mind..

At 41 years of age, I have only recently set down all secular music. The Lord had given me a new love for southern gospel snd bluegrass .

A truly powerful message on the battle for our minds. I chose to surrender my mind to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

What a great sermon.

We rid the power of evil spirits that feed off us like parasites. Cut off the source of the sin, and the parasites have no food. Easier said than done! It’s a start. Jesus said there are different types of evil spirits. Some require us to fast. I think His teachings were not just for food fasting, but what we listen to and consume with our eyes.

If we confess our sins, he is faith and just to forgives us ours sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1 vs 9. Amen

Yes! We do not wage war as the world does, we concern ourselves with spiritual and intellectual battles. Christians aren't meant to try to overturn political or governmental systems. We are democratic and outspoken, but inherently non-violent
