What about the other leg ?
ОтветитьToo many people give up too early and move to a one story house instead of staying where there are stairs. Stairs are the BEST workout for the whole body I've ever found. I'm 66 and am still in my four story Victorian house, stairs are my best friend!
ОтветитьRehab classes after a hip replacement a few years ago taught me to put my heel down first when walking. I didn't really understand this till I fell when my toe stuck to the floor and I kept going. Only happens with two pair of shoes which have thick rubber soles. Now I'm aware I walk more carefully.
ОтветитьYes I had this after a car wreck where someone hit me from behind. I thought it more or less went away. But a few years back I started tripping. This video reminded me, to remember to pick my toes up. Thank you.
ОтветитьAlso I have to remind myself to slow down. I am always in a hurry. I am retired, whats the rush.
ОтветитьThank you Will!
ОтветитьI am 74 and when bare feet my left big toe just drop and I trip on it! I cannot lift my foot from the ground as you sow in your video. Not to bad when I have shoes on ! Please help me?
ОтветитьThanks for your vidéos...not too long and with very good explanations. My kiné forgets the 1st part of the exercice. I " ll payer attention to this part. Tank you ( I follow you from France)
ОтветитьIve tripped so many times. I will do these exercises.
Most of the times I tripped I was wearing flip-flops and working in the yard.
Now I wear tennis shoes and keep my gardening tools in a container.
This is probably useful info that could have and should have been presented in 1-2 minutes. What a shame someone thought it should be drawn out.
ОтветитьYou guve sych practical exercises. I bought the book, good on explanations and clear directions.
ОтветитьMy doctor maintains that your lack of balance starts with the ears. Must work those ear lobes.
ОтветитьA must view for biden, he turned tripping into a science.
ОтветитьI just had a very bad fall. Hurt my head and my hip. So I’m lucky.
Why a stool? Why not lift toes from the floor?
I did such a good job of tripping, I did a complete face plant, broke my glasses, blackened my entire face from hair to chin, and broke both my radius and ulna! (I now have a metal plate in my wrist)
ОтветитьHi will you are a marvel. I've just started watching your video. I hope I'll get confidence to cross the road on my own. Thanks . God Bless.
ОтветитьGood info, thanks.
Two back surgeries left me unable to lift the toes of my left foot (drop foot). I must concentrate when walking but still stumble when the toes of my left foot catch the ground, especially on uneven surfaces. I see no solution to the problem other than "pay attention."
As a 70 year old ex hippie...... you can imagine how confusing this was for me. Especially as a lot of mushrooms grow around here....
ОтветитьThank you so much! I’m ordering the book! 🥰
ОтветитьI'm not tripping b u t I will start with easy exercises!!!!!!! Thank you 👍
ОтветитьThank you. A very quick and clear video.
ОтветитьThis is great! Thanks!
ОтветитьExercise at5 min
ОтветитьThis is a great exercise. Often learn something new with Will. Thanks!
ОтветитьI was happy to find this after a bad fall in my neighborhood. I'm thinking that I'm not lifting my foot enough so this exercise is perfect for me and it's easy to do.
ОтветитьDear Dr Will!
Do leg raises and holding at about 30° lying down help strengthen hip flexors?
I have had both hips and RT knee replacement surgeries about 10 years ago?
Thank you very much indeed 😊.

I am so glad I found your channel!!! The stuff works
ОтветитьGreetings PT Will... You are awesome, yes this video is just for my issue, Have a great day and take care!...
ОтветитьDoes this exercise have a name?
ОтветитьFractured my right foot in 3 places due to catching my foot, thanks for this 🙏❤️
ОтветитьThank you so much for this wonderful exercise. I will do this daily.
ОтветитьCan I do this exercise from a sitting position?
ОтветитьI only wear sketchers all the time, should I go bare foot sometimes , I am 78 & a tripper
ОтветитьWell, I sure don't need this. I did all my tripping back in the 'sixties. But thumbs up, just in case. Mucho thanks. Will.
ОтветитьVery good and helpful exercise.
ОтветитьNot having you in frame ( framed in the shots)all of you including your head is distracting. This is not the only video you have done this on. Try putting a piece of tape on the wall above your head when you frame the shot. Please.
ОтветитьThanks!!🎉🎉
ОтветитьThank you for such a simple solution for exercising for walking
ОтветитьUseful exercises, but as someone who is at risk of tripping, I think the most important way to prevent tripping is to pay attention to the walkway. When one has weak dorsiflexors, a small irregularity in the sidewalk can cause a fall. I don't think this a complete solution, so "never trip again" is an unreasonable claim for it.
ОтветитьI am a 76 year old lady. I notice that I trip now and then when I go out for my walk. Thank-you for showing the exercise. It's simple and not difficult to do.
ОтветитьYour tips are always helpful. I'm 86 and walk outside 6 or 7 days a week. Thanks. Be blessed.
ОтветитьOnce again, Will you've covered one of my serious issues! Around 5 years ago I was walking several times a week with my friend and her dog on a windy, leafy, sometimes hilly path at a local park, by a pond. We'd be chatting as we walked. If I got fatigued by the last small hill, and my conversation was more active than my attention to my footing, I found myself dragging my right toe to the point of stalling or even tripping. Once or more I fell forward. My friend was concerned when I took a spill and refused her hand up out of embarrassment and pride. She became leery of my stability, not wanting to have to call 911 some day. I don't want to stop activities anymore just because my own stubbornness makes me unwilling to get help. Will to the rescue, STAT, 🛟! This exercise is on my daily list as of now! ❤
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for sharing.
Ответитьi watch you almost every day as i do not want to miss any instruction for pain on the toes. (only on the right leg) It hurts more at night time and could not sleep well. I started watching your instruction to fix poor and unbalanced walk. Your are always clear very detailed. Thank you.
ОтветитьIt hurts in my left hip when I do the raise for the left leg. What can I do to correct this?
