Cyber Gadget's Retro Freak: A Quick Second Look (UPDATED) - Plays SMS & Game Gear!

Supposedly you can play NES games off the SD card too.. I havent gotten mine in the mail yet to confirm but i read that you can.. Unzipped files of course.. BTW does it take that long to load up the card each time you turn it on?

it will play nes gamegear & sms roms loading is long on start up but I have over 4000 roms so?

Thank you for answering all the questions left regarding the Retro Freak. That device is simply awesome. I'll get mine next month and I hope everything goes well with the shipping.

I have the system with the latest firmware and have no issues. I have 300 games that I downloaded myself from my own library connection (no online rom downloads) and have had no issues with load times. Them again I only have 300 games on it. Perhaps it's the Micro SD card (speed wise). My only question is I have seen some videos here of the system playing Turboduo cd's and Megadrive cd's. Anyone know where I can download the software to do so?

I was wondering if the retro freak will load Sega 32X games ?
I mean not physically inserting the 32X Cart but, bypassing and copying the 32X Rom directly into to the MicroSd Card?

Can you just use the cheat file from the retron5 website on this?

think you got a faulty unit bro. no other video I've seen has shown a 10 minute boot up for the SD card it's been instead

how is the build quality over the Retron 5? My 5 is playing up (MegaDrive & Famicom ports failing/failed).

My reason for having consoles like these is to back up my game saves so I can keep then even after the batteries have failed. I can then replace the battery and then get it back o the cart.

Do you know if this thing works on the RetroN 5 with GameGear game?
Also, have you done the 240p Test Suite Lag test on both the Retro Freak and RetroN 5?

As far as i know the retro freak is just like the retron5 that is loads the cartridge to the memory and then play it.
things like the gameboy player and everdrive can't work on the because normaly the information goes back and forth between the cartridge and the sd/gameboy game

maybe a system update will help

Up to what capacity SD card can retro freak read?

Maybe you should insert the micro SD right like inserting and making sure it's inserted correctly like holding and keeping it completely straight.
