That's a lot of firewood! I had 5 trees that size taken down at my last house. After witnessing Hurricane Sandy and the devastation it caused, I did not want those big trees near my house, and they were quite close. Not only can they fall on your house during a storm and possibly kill someone, the roots can mess up your drainage pipes and foundation. Good job you took it down.

If you guys are interested in growing your own food, you guys should have a tree service chip that huge tree for you and lay it down for a garden. This style of gardening is called back to eden and it's basically a no-tilling method. I tried this as an experiment with tomatoes and my plants are MASSIVE! It's so large and thick it's hard to get to the tomatoes.

We had a massive storm go through a few weeks ago, and it dropped a tree that size along side the house. Some of the limbs damaged the house when it fell. The next day we had to call a tree service to remove another one leaning towards the neighbor's house. That cost $300, but it sure gives peace of mind. You're very lucky to have a neighbor like that. Glad you got it down BEFORE it did any damage.

You are so lucky that your neighbor did this for you! My dad had a huge cottonwood tree taken down years ago and it cost over $1500! Your neighbor is a gem!

Just discovered your channel. The cottonwood in our front yard is much wider at the base. Probably the same height. We're kicking ourselves now that we did not negotiate the price of felling the tree when we bought the house.

You have got to be a strong person to pull yourself up that tree. Alright!! I know you guy's are glad that tree is down. Need a professional to do that absolutely. Nice your neighbor helped.
