Physical all the way for sure. But game key cards over digital e shop games would be my priority more so for the resale aspect. I was never an e- game fan and rarely purchase games from e shop

I don't know about everyone else, but i personally have a dedicated switch for my mig flash, just to avoid being banned in any way. it means i can play the physical games i want all on one cart, and honestly, i will be buying all digital this time around.

i will be buying keycards for the digital games that im not planning on replaying so i can sell them and get some money back. Theres a bunch of eshop games that i never tried on switch1 cause i wasn't sure id like it or just didnt seem worth the price. Now theres another option and it seems like a bit less of a risk to try something new.

The hdr adjustment doesn work how it askes you to set it. I can not adjust it so only the left image being visible

I'll still do physical at this point. I might grab some Game Key cards, but if any Game Key cards get actual cartridge versions later down the road (I doubt it, but it's possible), then I'll grab those (for those that I got a Game Key card of, I'll just sell/gift those and grab actual cartridge replacements instead). I bought one of those 256GB express cards and I STILL almost filled up my entire memory of my storage due to update data and Game Key cards (wished I got one of those 1TB Lexars instead), so I'd prefer physical cartridges so I can save like 20GB per game.

I’ve been a long time physical video game collector, it’s an end of an era for me, I’m going 100% digital. Props to everyone who will continue to collect physical games.

HDR looks like crap on my Philips Ambilight TV no matter what settings i use the two logos appear/disappear at the same time. I've just given up now and turned HDR off

Hate that they're counting key card games as digital sales. My immediate thought is that they'll later use that sales data to defend increases in "digital sales" to support true physical efforts less and less until everything is all 100% digital. It's sad. Plus the fact these are retail items sold in physical retail stores, and I'd argue many of which will get sold to "regular" consumers who have no idea what a key card is, they just think they're buying a physical game. So this reporting is def gonna be unfair/inaccurate.

These companies are literally trying to force people to go digital anyway they can even if it’s a gotcha with a key card

The HDR is limited to 400 nits which will not give you good HDR. Also, the black levels are elevated to 0.5 washing out the blacks and not giving you the best image quality. So, even if you are playing on an OLED display, even after calibrating the Switch 2, the image quality is lacking.

On handheld mode, it is recommended to turn off HDR because the Switch 2 display can't even handle HDR properly.

The M.2 adapter would be awesome. An M.2 of the same size costs about half what a microsd express card does for a good quality name brand, and they have the potential to run much faster: A micro sd express card maxes out at 900MB/s read speed, while an nvme m.2 ssd 3rd gen x1 can hit 3500MB/s; not quite 4x the read speed, but not far off.

The maximum size for the 2230, however, is currently 2tb. And it appears this is in the very early stage of developlment. If this does ever come to the consumer market, I'd expect it to be at least a year or more away.

But it doesn't hurt to think like a frog. We can still hop.

Can the switch 2 run games off of the express SD card? Or is this like the PS5 generation where you can only store games on a traditional hard drive and then have to move them back to internal storage to run them?

No fr i onky get to go to concert once every few months. I deliberately dont have a car cause that shits too much and i have to have roomates to keep up with bills. I go home and go to work nothing else maybe a lil nature hike cause its free

I mean...I hate it for all of you physical game people, but we are on the cusp of an entirely digital game marketplace. PC software has already worked as a proving ground for 99.9% digital software market. When is the last time anyone saw physical discs for PC software in a store? Prefab PC builds don't even include disk drives anymore, you have to add them after market. Full digital IS coming, and there is nothing you can do about it. So I guess I don't see the point in the keycard controversy that everyone seems to be railing against.

Mug switch on switch 2 will honestly be pointless considering majority of games will be game key cards basically digital

Remember games by Limited Run also have issues and must have encountered the same issue as mig switch. those are official so what ever Nintendo does to allow those to work will be how mig does it. Also my sw1 library is aleady past the 256 storage. I wish sw1 allowed an hd.
