Yep, I know what it's like to work under a Toxic boss.....Decided to move in a totally different direction and aim for FIRE 🔥Sure it's riskier than a 9-5 with a stable income, sure I have to work ten times harder now, but without risk there isn't any reward.

What I've realised is that the hardest part for most people is reaching the first $1 million (or Fi Number) in your portfolio. But after that things will fall into place (Safe withdrawal rate equalling total basic expenses, etc).

I was in an accounting job and left it before two weeks.

The manager would talk about previous employees who had recently left as 'weak' and 'lazy' which was quite weird. When she asked me what I had learn through the 'training' which I use that term loosely, she pulled out her lighter and started to burn the office plant right next to me. Didn't know if she was trying to see how I would react or what.

Whenever someone didn't know how to perform certain tasks, or weren't trained for them, the boss would contradict or say to them ‘your a Uni student, deal with it.
This included me when I had no experience in using one an obscure accounting software package that was temperamental whenever you tried to gather the financial information you wanted.

Thankfully I had plenty of FU money to hand in my resignation after 8 days of working there, as the boss didn't pay me for the work I did.

My work horror experience was my internship at an office job. I got fired because they weren't willing to train me if i was going to be there for 4 months only. Which I thought was the whole point of an internship. But It taught me that no matter how much a toxic work environment is paying you it's not worth the emotional distress it causes you.
