It's March 2025. I would be grateful if any Australian media organisation (excepting Australia's ABC) would pay for and interview Paul Hogan in his own words today. My view is his upbringing, work before the bridge, Australian fame, international fame, the Australian taxation Office, marriages, children, regrets and no regrets and life advice for the rest of us.

I'm sure Ricky Gervais received the baton from Hoges. It's moments like these that made award shows watchable.
A third host that I really enjoyed was Bob Hope. He quipped "tonight is the academy awards, or as it's known in my house: pass over" 😂

Think about the actors today whose entire career went down in the Twitter/X flames.

Legend has it this was largely improvised. The director wanted a copy of his speech and network execs wanted to vet what he was going to say, but Hoges just went out and talked off the cuff.

Ricky Gervais must have seen this!

Being a former professional crocodile wrestler for over 20 years I have very fond memories of Paul, who was always very supportive of other wrestlers during tournaments.

I'll never understand why so many Aussies dislike this fella but voted in Scott Morrison.
