not JOJO SIWA just casually behind u
ОтветитьDon’t confuse everyone with just you, I don’t hate LAX. I do however hate MCO and JFK.
ОтветитьI'm sorry to bust your rant, but I must be one of those people that doesn't hate LAX.
My wife and I have been traveling via LAX since 1996 and have rarely experienced the things you mention.
Especially not the "1 hour to get through the horseshoe"
Only exception was the first flight into the US coming from Europe (Amsterdam) after 9/11 in 2001, but that was to be expected.
In our experience the airport is what it is, an airport. It doesn't need to be super nice or in a nice neighbourhood, it just needs to be functional and it is.
Finding and getting on to your shuttle bus to the rental car company is easy, and a short ride.
The only thing I agree on is the fact that the baggage trollies are not free, that is annoying but most people nowadays use suitcases with wheels so no big issue.
I guess if you search long enough you will find something to complain about eventually.
LAX is just JFK with 🌴🌴 trees. 😂🙄 Even getting from a domestic terminal arriving flight to an international flight departing out of TBIT is INSANE!!!! I NEVER drive in/out of LAX, EVER!
He's right about the TBIT though, it's DEFINITELY huge and roomy.
everyone just hates large cities/airports, it is just bias, i have never had a problem with this airport personally
ОтветитьThe good thing is that most of the negative issues regarding LAX will be fixed in a couple of years.
All the terminals are getting renovated and/or expanded
All the terminals will finally be connected behind security.
The People Mover will make accessing the airport more convenient
LAX will add three new terminals/concourses: Concourse 0, terminal 9, and an addition to the relatively new Mid Field West terminal.
They arw also adding significant amount of landscape greenery within the horseshoe and possibly a water feature too.
Everything should be ready by the 2028 Olympics except for the new terminal 9.
BTW, you have it backwards. The lower level is for arrivals and the upper is for departures.
ОтветитьIve flown american airlines to LAX for a connection flight to Orlando, and everytime the flight is either delayed or cancelled. This airport is so unlucky
ОтветитьOne minor correction: the upper level is for departures, and the lower level is for arrivals. Other than that, yeah, LAX can either be a nightmare to navigate or (if you get super lucky and know your way around) smooth-ish.
ОтветитьI hate the new intl expansion terminal death march worse then o hare to get from plane to street.
I flew down from seattle once i got outside 2 things hit me stench of the polutiion and then the freamen pot smell.
As to hotels i stayed at the shearton and wezti both had nice rooms and you could work to some reasonble priced food. Would recommend marriott in manhattan or courtyard in el seguendo.
Cheapest parking is other end of century blvd near strip clubs. Dont think you can park for free on the niebood streets they think they own the streets.
All the car rentals are located behind the hotela on century blvd. So it can take some real time to get there. Last time i just wakked from hotel way faster.
Lastly there are some of the nicest beach towns just south of lax and theres a cheap bus that runs friom lax but you have to take a shuttle to get it.
JOJO SIWA IN THE BACKGROUND IS CRAZY BRO
ОтветитьBRO JOJO SIWA HAHAH
ОтветитьFirst things first: LAX has come a long way since I first arrived from NY in 1996. Second: Brother got his intro wrong! The Bottom level is for arrivals. The Top level is for departures.
ОтветитьLAX used to be clean. Looked like a mall, with lots of stores and restaurants. It was an airport that belong in the first country that we are supposed to be. I was just there about a week ago and now the bathrooms are dirty, not once I saw a janitor cleaning. The tables had layers of dirt, which means no one ever wipes them. We pay a tax when we buy airlines tickets that is supposed to be designated to cleaning and sanitation. We Californians pay a lot of taxes to have a dirty airport. We even saw a homeless inside the bathroom by the luggage claim area when we returned home.
Ответитьhow did you get the radio signals from both the planes and the atc towers? It's really cool
ОтветитьSometimes it takes long time to make it out from lax
Ответитьlax, and los angeles in general, are colossal ballaches. best avoided at all costs.
ОтветитьI honestly love this airport, and Idk why I just like it.
ОтветитьLax is the best
ОтветитьSo true. The construction has made things so bad. We've been to LAX 5 times in the past 5 years. We've had to run to 2 flights because they were boarding by the time we got past security with 2 kids. Then the other 3 times we had hours of time to kill. It's that crazy horseshoe traffic, it's so unpredictable with the construction. Also the location of the actual gate. Sometimes we get lucky with a close one, then there are times we had to walk an additional 40 minutes to get to the gate to board the plane.
ОтветитьI hate LAX because it fucking filthy.
ОтветитьI'm gonna go to cali with LAX. Not sure if I'll hate.
ОтветитьOnly flew into LAX in 1993 when I went to Southern California and Disneyland. But my coworker as his sister lives in Irvine his family flies into Orange County-John Wayne Airport as it's close to where his sister lives, and they have nonstop flights on United out of Newark Liberty which is more convenient than LAX. You should do one on the three NYC airports (JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark Liberty) as the other options there for regional airports are Westchester County, Long Island, Tweed-New Haven, Newburgh, Lehigh Valley, Trenton, Philadelphia (Note Philadelphia is a major airport), or Atlantic City.
ОтветитьMight be going to LA in the fall but I think I will fly into Burbank instead, might mean more lay over but sounds like a way easier time!
ОтветитьI just started working at LAX a week ago and watching this video was fun to watch.
ОтветитьLol you just toured international
Ответить30 seconds in your video you mistakenly identified the arrivals and departure levels. I am not here to excuse LAX, but the information needs to be accurate. The Economy Parking Garage offers the lowest cost for parking and discounts for parking ahead. The APM Train will connect to the Economy Lot in 2024. Ride Share will be eliminated when the APM comes online and be relocated to the Consolidated Rental Car Facility. LAX Terminal Connections are in progress and will be completed in 2024. Very correct that you are dealing with a 1960’s airport attempting to manage in 2020’s. One big issue the public doesn’t understand: All terminals are International capable. Tom Bradley is also a mix of International and Domestic travel. Don’t ever go directly to the terminal you think is correct…go meet your airline first, they will have the easiest solution to get to your airplane.
ОтветитьCan’t agree more!
ОтветитьI love LAX. Haha - But then again, I love ORD, too. I'm just so happy to be traveling, nothing bothers me... BTW, we always park outside of the airport and walk to our terminals... It isn't worth driving through the horseshoe.
ОтветитьHow much time do I need for transfers from one international flight to another at Tom Bradly ?
ОтветитьLAX is a complete joke when it comes to transferring between terminals. No train transfer because there isn't one. Crazy to be a first world country and one of the largest in the world with no train access just buses. It's crazy as after you clear custom buses pick you up at the back of the airport to take you to your terminal and you come in just like you getting off the plane. It's crazy and if you're not careful it will drive you crazy.
ОтветитьPret a mangur?
ОтветитьH Hotel for the best hotel
ОтветитьThey will be building a train
ОтветитьSpeak for yourself!
ОтветитьI LOVE LAX!!.. it remaind me when I first arrived to this great Country coming from a Communist place like Cuba, I felt SO FREE!!. Thank you L.A. Thank you USA!!..years later I was working at a Duty Free store in LAX. I was a Accountant in Cuba, here in the States, I worked with people for the first time. I enjoyed my job SO MUCH, I encountered many tv and movie celebrities, like Robert Mitchum, I got his autograh, Robert Redford, The O'Jays, Sammy Davis Jr. Natalie Wood (RIP), Robert Wagner, Merv Griffin ..I dont remember how many more!....that was in 1974. I moved to an apartment in El Segundo, across form the airport... I felt so close and so in love to LAX for may years until now 2023...I will never forget.....THANK YOU!!
ОтветитьOrange county should allow the Metro Green line to expand to Disneyland / Anaheim.
ОтветитьOh god, I gave up with shuttles etc and I just walked.
ОтветитьI lived in LA throughout most of my childhood and I always wondered, WHY DOESN'T THE SECOND MOST POPULATED CITY IN AMERICA HAVE A DIRECT TRAIN TO THE AIRPORT????????
Even Dallas and Phoenix, which are much much more car-centric than LA, have direct train connections to their respective airports.
I don't see whats wrong with this airport I actually like it when I was going to Iran IT WAS SO COOL IN THE LAX AIRPORT
Ответитьquestion this is gonna be my first time traveling when you get lost do they help you out? cause I heard they dont
ОтветитьI live in LA, I’ve driven people to and picked up MANY times. It has never taken me an hour to go around the horseshoe. 😂
ОтветитьLAX not being designed for the number of people it currently handles of not being able to handle connection/transits easily really goes to show how short-sighted the airport's builders were.
Great video, though!
WTF? They're still building the people mover? Is this a joke? I was there in 2017 and back then i saw "plans" on building the people mover. 4-5 years later they're still "building".
ОтветитьLove your videos! One thing I was gonna say is that a celeb walked right behind you and I think you didn’t notice 😆 Jojo Siwa, she looked in the camera too! How cool 😎 at around the 6.00 mark of the video she appears
