Dick Sargent (1930-1994)

Dick Sargent was a very fine actor and a quite talented man!

First of all, so called "Dick Sargent" wasn't his real name. There was nothing wrong with his actual birth name, Richard Stanford Cox. He obviously "sold out" his birth name because of the shallowness of the entertainment industry?! Most likely the change was made as the result of a greedy Business Manager, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? In reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not earn) a greater buck?!

Oh, brother! If every one in Hollywood changes their last name, then almost every actor and actress is disrespecting their parent's name. Let's start with John Wayne.

I guess Marylin Monroe changed her name, because of greed or some other reason. How about John Wayne, whose real name was Marion Robert Morrison?

Sargent probably changed his to avoid some dirty minded people.
