WHY ARE THERE SUBTITLES ! is that for the very hard of hearing ? lol
Ответитьits beautiful in its simplicity thats true cause I understood and I have played chess like maybe 3 times max in my life. Loved his explanation. Makes me want to play more :)
ОтветитьWho else watched The Queen's Gambit for the chess?
Ответить"He moves the Rook, he gets forked and he loses" This reminds me of that show "The good place" with Kristen Bell
ОтветитьHe’s an excellent ambassador for the game…
ОтветитьI just finally watched this show and it FAR exceeded my expectations it was unbelievable—-thankyou for sharing your views, as it of course made me very interested in getting better at chess ♟️♟️♟️🤍
ОтветитьThis is probably one of the best pieces of film i've ever watched
ОтветитьCan someone help? I don't see where the checkmate is?
ОтветитьChess is a fantastic game in it"s philosofi, variation and simplicity. Yes, you herd right, simplicity and at the same time endless in it"s variation. Reagards from Sweden
ОтветитьOh i didnt see that, thank you Magnus :D
ОтветитьCan someone explain why the rook couldn't have been moved to c5?
ОтветитьNow I know he's from Norway..😅😊
ОтветитьYou mean to tell me that there are more than one Magnus Carlsen out there? Do we have a Magnus Carlsen from Brazil?
ОтветитьVote:
Who is better magnus or Beth Harman??
Of course I love the part where Beth says she's 36 years old, lol!
Ответитьhilarious. super-awesome. the best chess player in the history of the planet (this is a statistics thing, too) commenting on the Queen's gambit movie - fictitious, but a game that undoubtedly was played by real people...
the commentary by Magnus implies - he's more than human...that somehow, we're on the same planet as a single species too. as weird as that may sound... because, in social-hierarchy etiquette, 90% of the time, people are too insecure to address challenges to their authority - or, let their guard down; they'd rather pretend to be more than they are. Magnus has no fear, here - and demonstrates it with an open & honest opine - because, he's really worth the status, as far as chess goes...and perhaps more (which is why the fascination exists from afar). everyone who knows chess, appreciates Magnus coming down to Earth on this one...
as per Anya Taylor / Beth Harmon, that was such a performance in the movie, Queen's Gambit. a classic for all-time's sake.
I'm probably not even at beginner level but this explanation and when you go through each square the rook can move to it is pure Eureka!!
Ответитьyou should shave and bathe more often
ОтветитьThe rooks not trapped immediately though right? I don’t see how it’s trapped right there
Ответитьwhat is this trashy board 😂
Ответить;Magnus is world's greatest chess play, but a low class potty mouth.
ОтветитьEverybody knows you're a jerk
ОтветитьThanks for the video.
Ответитьif they would have chooses a male character everybody would have assumed it to be Magnus
ОтветитьThe only series Magnus carlsen care to watch
ОтветитьSo this story is fiction but the Games played is real
ОтветитьMagnus from Norway being into the chess flirting is really funny ngl
Ответить"at a very early age"...him against Kasparov
ОтветитьFriends, we are dead in our sins, as we have broken God's commands and the punishment for sin is death (its consequence)
but Jesus loves us so very much that He came to this earth as a human, humbled Himself and bled and died on a cross to save us from sin and death, as a perfect sacrifice and ransom for us. But He has risen from the dead!!
and appeared to many as His witnesses. And He is calling you toward repentance and toward Him, too. Therefore, Believe in Him.
Other people: I’m xxx of 2013 (proudly)
Magnus: world champion SINCE 2013 (calmly)
This guy thinks he knows what he’s talking about
Ответить"Christ, Harmon, you're humiliating my rook!" Now we know why Townes said that.
ОтветитьThe game of Chess should be renamed forks & pins
ОтветитьMy brain melted multiple times in this show, every games was a bullet with respect to the fiction time frames. The Opening was also nice, untill the Queen gambit, which this game with Thomas, was the first if I recall right. Really beutiful episode to rewatch.
ОтветитьI'm glad he introduced himself, otherwise people might not know who he is... 😂
ОтветитьSeems that this commenter knew about chess quite well....
ОтветитьHad to watch twice to understand it, but yes, she got him LOL! ❤
ОтветитьWhy are the subtitles wrong? They're not auto-generated...
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьSomeone needs to make a Magnus Carlson movie 😂
ОтветитьMagnus applying for a job:
Resume: Magnus Carlsen, Chess World Champion since 2013
Beth looking up at possible moves in her mind made the point that she still had her eidetic memory intact without any chemical use, and it was the superpower she had developed from childhood, being deprived of the one thing she really loved, chess, and needing to play it in her head.
ОтветитьMagnus is the living Beth Harmon of our time. I'm so happy you inspired a whole generation of youngsters Magnus.
ОтветитьI love the way Magnus treats this as real game with real players and comments on that basis . Well done to even bother to comment
Ответитьdoes he think she real?
ОтветитьYou do realise it's a story and not a real game ?!
